INTERACT program

As noted, the SCREEN model is written as an interactive program for the PC. Therefore, SCREEN is normally executed by simply typing SCREEN from any drive and directory that contains the SCREEN3.EXE file, and responding to the prompts provided by the program. However, a mechanism has been provided to accommodate the fact that for some applications of SCREEN the user might want to perform several runs for the same source... 

WRPLOT is an interactive program tliat generates wind rose statistics and plots for selected meteorological stations for user-specified date and time ranges. A wind rose depicts die frequency of occurrence of winds in each of 16 direction sectors (north, nordi-northcast, nordieast, etc.) and six wind speed classes for a given location and time period. 

A variety of data sources are available to inform interactive programs, including prospective data sets, retrospective databases, expert opinion, and unpub-lished/published literature. Time horizon, that is, the length of time into the future considered in the analysis over which costs and outcomes are projected, is very important here [26]. For example, if a clinical trial or the published literature only report short-term results for a chronic condition, the outcomes may come into question. STANJAN The Element Potential Method for Chemical Equilibrium Analysis Implementation in the Interactive Program STANJAN, W.C. A computer program for IBM PC and compatibles for making chemical equilibrium calculations in an interactive environment. The equilibrium calculations use a version of the method of element potentials in which exact equations for the gas-phase mole fractions are derived in terms of Lagrange multipliers associated with the atomic constraints. The Lagrange multipliers (the element potentials ) and the total number of moles are adjusted to meet the constraints and to render the sum of mole fractions unity. If condensed phases are present, their populations also are adjusted to achieve phase equilibrium. However, the condensed-phase species need not be present in the gas-phase, and this enables the method to deal with problems in which the gas-phase mole fraction of a condensed-phase species is extremely low, as with the formation of carbon particulates.
