Power system integrated

The integrated power system is inherently more effieient (less losses). The distributed system has two or more power supplies in series, where the overall power system effieiency is the produet of the effieieneies of the two power supplies. So, for example, two 80 pereent effieient power supplies in series produees an overall system effieieney of 64 pereent. 

In essence, Marchetti foresaw a conflict between the vertically integrated power system of nation-states and the horizontal power system, covering many states, typical of the multinational corporation. Conflict is inevitable, he believed, but it would not necessarily lead to the destruction of either the states or the corporations. A state can be seen as a vertically integrated power system filling a geographical area, Marchetti argued.
