In Section 5, you must account forthe total aggregate releases of the toxic chemical to the environment from your facility for the calendar year. Releases to the environment include emissions to the air, discharges to surface waters, and on-site releases to land and underground injection wells. If you have no releases to a particular media (e.g., stack air), enter not applicable, NA do not leave any part of Section 5 blank. Check the box on the last line of this section if you use Part IV, the supplemental information sheet. [Pg.40]

On lines 6.2.1 through 6.2.3, report the amount of the chemical transferred to other off-site locations corresponding to those listed in Part II, Sections 2.1 through 2.6, including privately owned wastewater treatment facilities. In the block provided, enterthe numberfrom Part II, Section 2 corresponding to the off-site location to which the transfer is sent For example, if the transfer is sent to the location listed in Part II, Section 2 3. enter 3" in the block provided. (The first digit of this section number has been precoded.) If you need additional space, check the box at the bottom of Section 6 and use the Supplemental Information Sheet (Part IV, Section 6) to report those transfers. [Pg.46]

Database development can be accelerated and its accuracy improved by first creating detailed equipment and process information sheets that fully describe each machine and system to be monitored. [Pg.713]

The first step in establishing a database that defines the operating condition of each machine-train or production system is to generate an equipment information sheet (EIS) for each machine-train. The information sheet must contain all of the machine-specific data such as type of operation and information on all of the components that make up the machine-train. [Pg.713]

Machine components The EIS should provide information on all components (e.g., bearings, gears, gearboxes, electric motors, pumps, etc.) that make up the machine-train. Since these components generate vibration energy and unique frequency components, this information is essential for proper analysis. At a minimum, the information sheet must include detailed bearing information, passing frequencies, and nameplate data. [Pg.714]

A process information sheet (PIS) should be developed for each machine-train and production process that is to be included in a predictive-maintenance program. These data sheets should include all process variables that affect the dynamics and vibration profiles of the monitored components. [Pg.714]

Since September 1997, the Journal of Chemical Education (JCE) publishes on a regular base a Classroom Activity that is set separately on a distinct hard sheet, including both the student activity (on one side) and instructor information sheet (on the back side). These activities are designed to actively engage students, while the topics covered are usually coimected with everyday life and apphcations (e.g. acid rain, bath bubblers, toothpastes, water filtration, anthocyanins, latent fingerprints, etc.). Liapi and Tsaparlis (2007) have used three of these activities (acid rain, bath bubblers, toothpastes) in conjunction with two conventional laboratory activities (some properties of acids/some properties of bases) with a class of ninth-grade students in Greece. An evaluation by the students showed a very positive result in favour of the JCE Activities they are connected with life and involve creativity on the part of the students (Fig. 5.2). [Pg.121]

This table is for information and discussion only original certificates or information sheets provided with the Reference Materials must be consulted for actual concentrations and uncertainties. [Pg.217]

The revised database holds over 23 000 analyte values for 660 measurands and 1670 reference materials produced by 56 different producers, from 22 countries. The database is restricted to natural matrix materials (i.e. made from naturally occurring materials, excluding calibration standards manufactured from pure chemicals). Information has been extracted from the relevant certificates of analysis, information sheets, and other reports provided by the reference material producers. As a general rule, the authors have only included in the compilation reference materials for which a certificate of analysis or similar documentation is on file. Information included in the survey is on values for measurands determined in reference materials, producers, suppliers, the cost of the materials, the unit size supplied, and the recommended minimum weight of material for analysis, if available. The new searchable database has been designed to help analysts to select reference materials for quality assurance purposes that match as closely as possible, with respect to matrix type and concentrations of the measurands of interest and their samples to be analyzed see Table 8.3. [Pg.264]

Vaccination is one of the most powerful tools used to prevent disease. As with all drugs, most vaccines have been reported to cause adverse reactions. The reactions are either acute, such as local reactions, or are related to risk of developing another disease. Health care professionals are to give vaccine information sheets to individuals or caregivers prior to vaccination these provide information about the risks and benefits of each vaccine. [Pg.1247]

This information sheet from the Health and Safety Executive summaries the health hazards that can arise from exposure to styrene. It provides practical advance to FRP manufacturers on how to assess and control styrene levels in the workplace and how these control measures should be monitored and maintained in accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. The document applies mainly to contact moulding processes, and aims to define what level of control is currently recognised as being reasonably practicable. Certain medications including penicillins and other antibiotics are unstable when stored in solution form and are therefore packaged in powder form. The dry powders must be reconstituted with a sterile diluent such as sterile water for injection or sterile sodium chloride (normal saline) solution. Instructions supplied with the vial state the volume of diluent which should be added. The resulting volume of the reconstituted drug and the approximate average concentration per milliliter are provided in the label or the package information sheet (package insert). [Pg.210]

Readers are encouraged to consult with a physician who is directly involved in their care to obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information. Readers should also check the product information sheet included in the package of each drug for the most reliable information about the currently recommended doses, side effects, contraindications, etc. This recommendation is particularly important with new or unregulated drugs. [Pg.11]

This publication is only intended to provide background information all information on drug administration, doses, and schedules should be reconfirmed for accuracy by referring to the manufacturer s information sheet. [Pg.11]
