We believe the need for the Second Edition is even greater than before. Whilst we stress our concern for its availability in the developing world, we are ever conscious of the bewildering growth of information for everyone, particularly via the web. In this information explosion, our hope is that a fundamental text such as this will provide some of the essential approaehes to the challenges of modern therapeutics, to enhance best possible therapy for the least risk.

Thus, information provision is important. If the provider makes mistakes, whether consciously or unconsciously, trust be lost.
