Knowledge of sulfur content in petroleum products is imperative the analytical methods are numerous and depend on both the concentration being measured and the material being analyzed.

It is imperative that any HDR reservoir be created in rock which is free of natural faults. This can be accompHshed by a thorough geologic study of a rock body prior to creation of an HDR reservoir within it, by close control of the hydrofracturing operation, and through real-time analysis of microearthquake data arising from joint opening to assure that the HDR reservoir stays within known bounds. 

The dross from this operation contains considerable quantities of copper and lead as well as other valuable metals. Separation and recovery is economically imperative. The dross is treated to produce readily separated stratified layers of slag, speiss, matte, and lead. Two processes are primarily used.

Recycling is not the total answer to the soUd waste problem. However, efficiently operated recycling programs can easily divert 35% or more of municipal soUd waste away from disposal. Curbside coUection systems offer the opportunity to coUect the greatest amount of recyclables in the most cost-efficient manner. It is imperative that communities and recyclers operate programs that are glass-friendly and which result in color-separated, contaminant-free material. 

Commercially, soap is most commonly produced through either the direct saponification of fats and oils with caustic or the hydrolysis of fats and oils to fatty acids followed by stoichiometric (equal molar) neutralization with caustic. Both of these approaches yield workable soap in the form of concentrated soap solutions (- 70% soap). This concentration of soap is the target on account of the aqueous-phase properties of soap as well as practical limitations resulting from these properties. Hence, before discussing the commercial manufacturing of soap, it is imperative to understand the phase properties of soap. 

The most effective way to prevent SCC in both stainless steel and brass systems is to keep the system clean and free of deposits. An effective deposit control treatment is imperative. A good corrosion inhibitor is also beneficial. Chromate and phosphate have each been used successfully to prevent the SCC of stainless steel in chloride solutions. 

At first, batchwise horizontal retorts were used for smelting, and later continuous vertical retorts, both externally fired. Continuous, internally heated furnaces such as the electrothermic furnace followed, and the last important development was the Imperal Smelting blast furnace. 

Butadiene reacts readily with oxygen to form polymeric peroxides, which are not very soluble in Hquid butadiene and tend to setde at the bottom of the container because of their higher density. The peroxides are shock sensitive therefore it is imperative to exclude any source of oxygen from butadiene. Addition of antioxidants like /-butylcatechol (TBC) or butylated hydroxy toluene (BHT) removes free radicals that can cause rapid exothermic polymerizations. Butadiene shipments now routinely contain about 100 ppm TBC. Before use, the inhibitor can easily be removed (247,248). Inert gas, such as nitrogen, can also be used to blanket contained butadiene (249). 

The fact that ceU culture-derived products are often injected into humans as therapeutic agents makes it imperative that there be no component in the final product that can pose a potential health risk to the patient. Health risks can be introduced into a product from many sources including the ceUs themselves raw materials, such as semm, media components, etc materials used in purification, eg, antibodies and external contamination. Eor a therapeutic product such risk factors are identified at the outset and ways of reducing them to acceptable levels are designed into the process. Before a product is released by the EDA the manufacturer has to demonstrate this risk reduction by rigorous validation of the process. 

VOC-conforrning paints ate mote demanding than thein predecessors, and attention to appHcation conditions and techniques is imperative. The coatings can be mote viscous and harder to apply, wet films have poorer leveling, and coatings of uniform thickness ate mote difficult to achieve. 

Low ionic impurity levels are imperative. It is imperative, however, that there be no restriction in this valve. The preferred choice is a ball valve with the full bore of the drainage piping. 

In the development of new products, optimization of the fermentation medium for titer only often ignores the consequences of the medium properties on subsequent downstream processing steps such as filtration and chromatography. It is imperative, therefore, that there be effective communication and understanding between workers on the upstream and downstream phases of the produc t development if rational trade-offs are to be made to ensure overall optimahty of the process. One example is to make the conscious decision, in collaboration with those responsible for the downstream operations, whether to produce a protein in an unfolded form or in its native folded form the purification of the aggregated unfolded proteins is simpler than that of the native protein, but the refolding process itself to obtain the product in its final form may lack scalabihty.

The analyst must necessarily rely on the expertise and efforts of others to operate, gather, and analyze samples and record (automatically or manually) readings. Communication of the goals, measurement requirements, and outcome to all involved is critical. It is imperative that aU involved understand their responsibilities, the use of the information that they gather, and the goals of the test.
