Sun, wind, and elements to make windows power-generation sources rather than energy losers will occur in the future. Designers, planners, and window industry visionaries foresee windows as dynamic, integrated, controllable appliances in the walls. Windows of the future may very well be automated home systems that serve many purposes. The technologies listed below are only a few in a list of hundreds that may improve efficiency, performance, and visibility. 

Solar home systems. A solar home system is a PV system with capacity of 10-40 Wp (peak Watts). By 2007, Grameen Shakti had installed 100,000 solar home systems to power lights, motors, pumps, televisions, mobile phones, and computers in Bangladesh [1].

Currently, research is being carried out all over the world to study the behavior of the people using these new technologies. The Smart-House has been presented on the ISH fair 2001 at Frankfurt for the first time.

Solar energy systems are solar home systems, solar photovoltaic (SPV) systems, solar water heating (SWH) systems, solar dryers, and solar cookers. These systems are installed and managed by a household or a small commirrrity. A solar home system is a PV system with a maximum capacity of 40 W.

Accdg to Ref 3, pp 216—19 229, the original acoustic homing system was called Kranich and the later version Pudel. On the other hand, in fuel cell applications, the H2 generator (reformer) is often tied to the demand for electricity or hot water and therefore operation at night is often not required. These systems may shut down daily (for home systems) or weekly (for small businesses). At night, there is no plant operator available to monitor the proper shutdown and startup conditions. Therefore the catalyst has to be able to withstand repeated water condensation, to ensure fast startup and to respond well to transient conditions due to changing hydrogen demand. 

The PEM system could be used with net metering. When the home system is generating more electricity than the home is using, power is returned to the electric grid and the electric meter runs backward. By 2003, almost half of the states had net metering for residential power systems.

When it receives the SID, the phone compares it to the SID programmed into the phone. If the SIDs match, the phone knows that the cell it is communicating with is part of its home system.

To process calls in a cellular system, the location and identity of the mobile user must be known by the MSC. This is true regardless of whether the mobile unit is operating in its home system or has traveled to a distant location and is considered to be roaming. To accomplish this task, the mobile unit transmits certain information each time the power is turned on, and again each time a call is originated. Specifically, this information consists of the mobile unit s MIN, ESN, and SID. In many cases, the operation of the set is the same for the user whether the mobile unit is used in its home system or not. This was not always the case, and there are still areas where different operations are required of the user but the seamlessness provided by IS-41 and SS7 networks is quickly eliminating these differences. 

Technically, there are differences in the manner in which calls are processed between a user in a home system and one who is roaming. The basic call processing operations are described in the following paragraphs but in a seamless network, these processes are transparent to the user.
