It is important to remember that all these tests should be preceded by an appropriate risk assessment in order to implement all the reasonable health and. safely measures. The employer must draw up an Explosion Protection Document to demonstrate that the risks have been assessed and to explain the precautions to be taken to control the risks. He must also coordinate the implementation of health and safety measures with other employers. 

EPA has developed a new lead hazard information pamphlet that addresses renovation-specific lead exposure concerns.
