To build and drive effective, sustainable, results-oriented, and truly transformational strategy— beyond benchmark practices— there are key considerations, tactics, and competencies that need to be either present or developed and put in place. Before I explain, here is what I mean by some of the words I just used ... 

This has resulted in less non value-added activities, which is necessary in lean to increase flow. A lean culture is also promoted where everyone ought to be committed in adopting the principles, otherwise the benefits would not be fully realized if the company s employees do not cooperate. Recommendations from the students also stated that additional metrics and transformation strategies be explored to further see the benefits of lean outside of just reducing WIP and lead time. Health and safety metrics can be added since lean tools can also be used to improve health and safety measures. Furthermore, with the growing trend of going green, lean can be applied to reduce environmental impacts and... 

The industrial transformation is not only economic problem but also social problem. If it isn t solved well, it will influence the stability of society, and also bring biological environment problems which will influence environment for hundreds of years even thousands of years. Therefore, the implement of transformation strategies should take overall consideration, make a long-term planning and avoid taking old path only for the pursuit of GDP. 

The visit to the rural area was designed to awaken and touch the students by bringing them face to face with extremely needy people, individuals whom, they recognized, their engineering knowledge and skills equipped them to help. The face-to-face encounters seemed to spark empathy in some of the students. Insofar as it did, the trip was an effective transformative strategy.

Perseversnce. Fourth, the transformation plan must be the filter for all relevant decisions. Unanticipated business conditions must not cause leaders to set aside the transformation strategy, and revert to old ways of doing business. There will be challenges to the plan somewhere along the way. Sales are not what we expected... new competition has come into our market... there is pressure to cut back on the promised training. 

Stress-Induced Controlled Expression (SICE) The SICE system has been recently described in lactococci, which has been helpful in designing alternative transformation strategies (Benbouziane et al. 2013). This regulatory genes-free expression system, controlled by the pGroESL promoter, is activated only under certain stress conditions such as the presence of bile salts and NaCl, temperature, and acidic pH, albeit a low constitutive expression may occur. Moreover, this system represents good potential in the production and delivery of therapeutic proteins in situ at mucosal surfaces in several human diseases such as IBD and human papillomavirus type-16 (HPV-16) (Benbouziane et al. 2013).
