When network weights have been trained to appropriate values, the NSC is ready to start classifying. The data set to be classified is specified in the same manner as previously used for the training and validation sets. The classifier is applied to data through the use of a menu and generates a list including filenames, suggested class and the neuron outputs from the output layer (used for decision). The result is currently presented in a simple text editor, from which it can be saved and included in other documents. 

We are confident that any user of this combined evaluation technique, as well as the development of future test standards for manual ultrasonic testing will benefit from this result, because it allows a greater flexibility in the applicable method without loosing reliability. Often an expensive production of a reference block can be avoided and therefore testing costs are reduced. Since all calculations are performed by a PC, the operator can fully concentrate on his most important duty scanning the workpiece and observing the A-scan. Additional time will be saved for the test documentation, since all testing results are stored in the instrument s memory (the PC s hard drive) with full link to the Software World (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). 

To obtain more information on each reaction of the hit list, it is possible to browse through the hit list, classify it (sec Section 5.13.4), print it, and export all the references on the hit list or save the reactions in different file formats for documentation purposes. 

The change should be processed in the same way as the original document and submitted to the appropriate authorities for approval. If approval is denoted on the front sheet of your documents, you will need to reissue the front sheet with every change. This is another good reason to use separate approval sheets. They save time and paper.

If the product has to be repaired or modified, the actual condition can be specified by the repair, salvage, or modification scheme, which is usually a separate document and can either be detailed on the nonconformity report or cross referenced to it. A lot of time can be saved if this information is readily accessible when problems arise later. 

It is always risky to keep only one copy of a document. If computer generated, you can easily make another copy provided you always save it, but if manually generated, its loss can be very costly. It is therefore prudent to produce additional copies of critical records as an insurance against inadvertent loss. These insurance copies should be stored in a remote location under the control of the same authority that controls the original records. Insurance copies of computer disks should also be kept in case of problems with the hard disk or file server, if you use one. 

Because outlier elimination is something that is not to be taken lightly, the authors have decided to not provide on-line outlier deletion options in the programs. Instead, the user must first decide which points he regards as outliers, for example, by use of program HUBER, then start program DATA and use options (Edit) or (Delete Row), and finally create a modified data file with option (Save). This approach was chosen to reinforce GMP-like procedures and documentation. 

Time Reduction and Increased Efficiencies. Time reduction and the corollary of increased efficiencies appear to be the main factors driving the short-term benefits deriving from implementation of an electronic notebook system. The argument is fairly simple, and there are good data [1] to show that the benefits are real and realistic. Most studies and projects associated with implementation of ELN within a research discipline focus on the reduction in time taken to set up a typical experiment and to document the experiment once completed. Further time savings are evident when examining workflows such as report or patent preparation, or when thinking about time taken to needlessly repeat previously executed experiments. 

Experiments may need to be viewed or presented 30 or 40 years after they are saved in a database. For instance, a lawyer may ask for experimental documents to defend a company in a product liability lawsuit. An important requirement here is that the document format should be independent of the application used to create the information, and that ideally the long-term archive format should not be based on a proprietary technology. PDF documents can increase the efficiency of a reviewer. Time savings can be obtained for reviewers in preparing data evaluation records owing to the ability to copy and paste (drop and drag) information from the PDF study directly into the review s application. 

Abstract Many hazardous substances of today had been looked at as valuable chemicals some decades ago. At present, management especially in the case of scarce, non-renewable resources is of growing importance. The experiences collected with the management of contaminants might be helpful also for valuable resources. This is demonstrated using two well-documented examples, Cd and PCBs. Pt serves as a counterexample to prove if the DPSIR method can be applied to contaminants and resources without fundamental changes. Some of the countermeasures introduced to control environmental contaminants may also be applied to save non-renewable resources. 

Yes, the prosecution would have more to say. In many ways our job was only half done. There remained the task of breaking down the defendants testimony. For this purpose, we had saved some "hot" documents, and our investigators would search for other documents until the trial ended.
