In summary, then, design with polymers requires special attention to time-dependent effects, large elastic deformation and the effects of temperature, even close to room temperature. The standard requires the supplier to have a process to deploy information gained from previous design projects, competitor analysis, or other sources as appropriate for current and future projects of a similar nature. 

It should be clear that a complete FMEA approach is not practical for the evaluation of production facility safety systems.
