Project team, design

The level of effort estimates given in Exhibit 4-1 are for time used by the project team. Design time is an estimate of the number of person days that will be needed to develop a fully defined system program/element or management process starting with the data collected during the assessment phase. [Pg.78]

The final responsibility of the clinical project team is to ensure that all the research studies are appropriately documented in technical reports or scientific publications, and to compile this information, along with the necessary summaries, into an NDA or BLA submission. After submission, the project team interacts with the regulatory agency and provides answers to any questions. If requested, the project team designs and conducts the necessary research studies to support the submission. Once the NDA or BLA has been approved, the final responsibility of the clinical development team is to coordinate the launch of the new therapeutic agent. [Pg.8]

The hospital project team designed a window system to facilitate both the ventilation requirements and the cleaning requirements of the client. The tilt and turn frame enabled the client s window contractor to clean the external glazing and frames from inside the building. [Pg.66]

Improvement of equipment effectiveness. This should start with a detailed design review of the plant machinery. A performance analysis of the plant could point to a specific area known to have problems (i.e., section of plant) must be selected and focused on, project teams should be formed and assigned to each train. An analysis should be conducted that address the following ... [Pg.729]

In one site, the project team installing a DCS (Distributed Control System) carefully developed and tested techniques to make the displays clear for red-green color blind personnel (see discussion in 6.4). The displays were effective and were applauded by the operators. However, in subsequent DCS installation projects at the same site, different project teams made no provision to make displays visible to red-green color blind personnel. This inherently less safe condition was found during a design review at one unit and at the pre-start-up safety review for another unit. [Pg.112]

As with other project teams, those selected for PSM system design need a clear understanding of what your company expects from them. Regardless of which approach you ve chosen, team members need to know ... [Pg.143]

The process designer and project engineer should classify the various areas of a plant following NEPA-70, Article 50528.29 order to advise the electrical and other project team members of the degree of electrical hazards anticipated. The appropriate equipment (motors, instruments, conduit, wiring, etc.) should be specified according to NEPA-70, Article 500 and others as applicable, the ASME Code and the API Code as appropriate. See NEPA-497A and... [Pg.647]

In large companies an internal project team may design the plant, otherwise contractors provide the design. In either case, the corrosion engineer must be involved from the inception of the project. Otherwise, the materials of construction will have to be chosen to satisfy process... [Pg.13]

This chapter is the first chapter in this book and serves as an introduction The first section of this chapter starts with a discussion of what is a medicinal chemist In this chapter the reader will notice far more attention to the people aspect of the discipline of medicinal chemistry than will be found in later chapters. This is by design. When expert practitioners in the field discuss success in medicinal chemistry the focus is usually very much on the person rather than on the technology. We admire the persistent drug hunters. We remember the individuals who do not give up easily. We appreciate those individuals with the interpersonal skills that facilitate an effective therapeutic project team. We admire those medicinal chemists who think out of the box and come up with the insights that transform a program. In this introduction I have tried to give some credit to this people factor. [Pg.23]

Operating Basis As the SIS engineering design nears completion, the resources and skills of plant operations should be considered. At some point, the SIS is turned over to operations and maintenance personnel, who must be trained on the new SIS and on their responsibilities. Consequently, thought should be given to the content and depth of the information that must be communicated to various personnel. This is especially important as the responsibility for the SIS transitions from the project team to operations and maintenance control. [Pg.104]

Different projects will use these abstraction techniques differently. Some project teams may work with a simple design that needs little transformation from concepts to code. Others, starting with an existing system and existing procedures for using it, may need to abstract its essentials before devising an updated solution. [Pg.36]

Cross [19] advocates a rational approach in the design process. He described in his book the seven steps procedure for the rational method for new design shown in Fig. 12.8-1 and listed in Table 12.8-1. The method covers every aspects of the design process from problem clarification to detailed design. It also facilitates better teamwork and enables better task subdivision. The project team employed this method to guide the design of the indoor air quality control appliance. [Pg.380]

The project team s main objective is to design an efficient indoor air quality control appliance that can achieve the most stringent IAQ standard using new and competitive catalyst and adsorbent technologies. The appliance must be... [Pg.380]

The KTL core annotations have been integrated into several in-house desktop applications for compound design and HTS hit triage. The annotations provide key binding information for the inhibitors and can be used to cluster compounds or to search for inhibitors with a particular binding feature. Overall these insights can help accelerate the HTS triage process and allow project teams to advance chemical matter in a timely manner. [Pg.290]
