Project management preliminary design

The project manager assumes responsibility for coordinating and facilitating discussions between the internal stakeholders and the design consultants in order to ensure that needs can be translated into specific requirements that can be incorporated into a preliminary design. As previously discussed, the preliminary scope defines the major components of the API facility. The scope will have identified key processing steps, all associated equipment, and any facility requirements. The preliminary scope will be a key document in communicating to outside design firms the intent of the facility(s) and the overall process intent of the project. The API manufacturer must then decide how they want to manage critical steps of the design, construction, validation, and start-up process. 

Fixed investment expenses also include site expenses and preproduction expenses. Site expenses can include the cost of land, site preparation, dvil works, en-gineering and design coste, project design costs, and insurance and taxes related to civil works. Preproduction expenses may include the cost of previous studies, preliminary costs for issLur capital, project and site management, preproduction marketing costs, preproduction implementation costs, personnel recruitment and train-"" ing, administration overheads, startup and commissioning expenses, and interest accrued durir construction. These costs are usually capitalized into the fixed investment cost.
