Provides a decision aid for choosing proper equipment and required medical supplies based on the chemicals involved.

The chemical and physical compatibility of decontamination solutions or other decontamination materials must be determined before use. Any decontamination method that permeates, degrades, damages, or otherwise impairs the functioning of the personal protective equipment (PPE) is incompatible with such PPE and should not be used. If a decontamination method does pose a direct health hazard, measures must be taken to protect both decontamination personnel and the workers being decontaminated. Figure 16.22 presents a decision aid for the evaluation of health and safety aspects of decontamination methods.

The approaches shown here also present tools to test logic, determine if the root causes identified go deep enough, help discern what to do if you get stuck, and other decision aids. These tools work with any logic analysis methodology. 

Some authors also use the term "Decision Aid" synonymously. In the past, also the terms "Decision Making" and "Decision Science" were used. However, as discussed by Roy (1993) and Roy (1990a), the latter terms imply a level of objectivity that cannot be achieved in real-life decision situations.

Account management and changes in chosen investment plans are very labor intensive in the conventional MPF model. Switching to the e-MPF model promises to significantly lower administrative cost while, at the same time, increases flexibility. As a contributor to an MPF scheme, each individual employee has an interest in checking how his or her contributions are invested and how much has accumulated in their MPF account. Providers have set up Websites that provide personalized MPF account management and disseminate updated MPF information and investment decision aids.
