Drying curing

Allow for clean application without the need for specialty dispensing equipment or special cure/drying cycles. 

In a study for precursor determination, we stem-fed individual Burley leaves with nicotine-2 - C or nornicotine-2 - C (29). Subsequently, the leaves were air cured, dried and analyzed for NNN and NNN- C. Recovery of the p-activity in the form of NNN- C amounted to 0.009% and 0.007%, respectively of the stem-fed label. This demonstrates that both alkaloids give rise to NNN. More importantly, it points to the fact that the tertiary amine, nicotine, which constitutes 0.5-2.6% of commercial tobaccos (26,27), is the major precursor for the carcinogenic tobacco-specific NNN, while the secondary amine, nornicotine is of lesser importance because it amounts to only 0.005-0.06% in tobacco (Figure 8). 

As described earlier, dry, scaly skin looks like skin diseases can be induced by several artificial methods. These are useful model to find out new strategy to improve dry, scaly skin condition. Following are the examples of recent studies about new methods to cure dry, scaly skin. 

Recently, hot melt PSA systems have been introduced and radiation curable PSA systems are at the commercial development stage. High solids (50%-70% by wt.) nonaqueous dispersion acrylic PSA systems have also been reported(1). Unlike the hot melt and radiation cured systems which require new capital outlay in coating head and/or curing (drying) equipment, BFG has developed PSA systems, based on Hycar 2100R reactive acrylic liquid polymers and isocyanate terminated prepolymer, which can be processed at 80% solids (by wt.) with equipment presently used in the PSA industry, namely, the reverse roll and knife-over-roll coater.

Applying a coating of enamel on flat metal sheets prior to fabrication into a container, or a round container after it has been fabricated. Both are carried out by a roller coating process followed by a curing/drying operation. 

A detailed discussion of these methods and of the equipment used to accomplish them can be found in the author s earlier books on the subject [B.48, B.71, B.97]. Although in Section 6.1 it was indicated that, theoretically, granular products can be made by crushing cured (dried) large agglomerates from tumble/growth technologies, the problems inherent with these procedures were also mentioned which, in most cases, prohibit the use of such a technique.

When considering the treatment of dry skin conditions in an occupational setting, it is most important to correct first any environmental aspect that may be responsible for the chronic barrier disruption (temperature, relative air humidity, cleaning products or protective measures) and this may be sufficient to cure dry skin. 

Affix each piece of copper flat wire to the carbon fabric with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. Allow the adhesive to cure/dry for at least 3 h. 

Remove masking before the sealant is completely cured/dried. 

Wait for 12 h to ensure that the sealant is fully cured/dried.

DIES can be used both for qualitative monitoring of chemical reactions in organic materials e.g. curing, drying) and for quantitative measurements e.g. determination of the concentration of polar liquids in materials such as water content in polymers). DIES can be combined with other techniques, such as FTIR, to gain specific molecular information on reactions that take place simultaneously and monitor these reactions. However, only conductivity, a macroscopic property, is measured. Consequently, molecular differentiation between combined reactions cannot be made. A lab-scale experiment in combination with more specific techniques (e.g. FTIR) is necessary to determine quantitatively the specific reactions. Dielectric analysis also measures changes in the properties of a polymer as it is subjected to a periodic field. A general problem in interpretation of dielectric and conductive methods is that they are not specific and are affected by many sources of interferences. These factors may explain the relatively slow introduction of this technique in characterisation of elastomer systems.
