If we look back at the considerations about possible communicative mechanisms, we find many possible solutions for this. The most obvious one is that the simple physical measures we used for movement description are not adequate, or there is a summation of different features over time. So far we can exclude at least multimodal communication where skin showing and movement quality add up. 

A further intercellular communication mechanism relies on electrical processes. The conduction of electrical impulses by nerve cells is based on changes in the membrane potential. The nerve cell uses these changes to communicate with other cells at specialized nerve endings, the synapses (see chapter 16). It is central to this type of intercellular commimication that electrical signals can be transformed into chemical signals (and vice versa, see chapter 16). 

Facilities and Equipment The technical experts who have an understanding of pharmaceutical science, risk factors, and manufacturing processes related to the product are responsible for defining specific facility and equipment requirements. The equipment must be qualified, calibrated, cleaned, and maintained to prevent contamination and product mix-ups. If we see prayer as a way of contacting nonphysical (in terms of our current concepts of what is physical) levels of reality or beings, ESP is the obvious communication mechanism, and some sort of PK is the means for changing reality so that a person is lucky. To the extent that we can use these psi abilities unconsciously, we have a mechanism for unwitting prayer, for our hopes and fears can then affect our reality in an unusual and psychic way, as well as in usual ways.

When we examine the molecular structures and functional groups of known pheromones, we find that they have little in common. Some pheromones contain stereoisomers, and some insects can distinguish between the stereoisomers. The strucmres of pheromones play vital roles in their activity. Part of the structure is an upper limit of about 20 carbon atoms, a limit probably imposed by Graham s Law. Most pheromones must travel through the air those with low molecular weights are often more volatile. Scientists suspect that the physical motions of pheromone molecules, which are also a function of molecular strucmre, play an important role in the communication mechanism.
