Coconut flour

Coconut roll, which is a disk of yellow- or red-coloured cream paste which has coconut flour mixed in. In the centre of the disk is a solid extruded liquorice rod. Sometimes the coconut rolls are dipped into a drum of coconut shreds which then coat the surface. [Pg.118]

Coconut flour is added to a particular type of cream paste for liquorice allsorts to give the traditional texture and flavour. [Pg.147]

The kernel is the origin of the following products coconut oil, desiccated coconut, coconut skim milk, coconut cream, coconut flour, protein powder, and copra meal (see Table 1). [Pg.768]

Feedstock in the wet process (17) is fresh kernel. In addition to oil, other edible coproducts are recovered from the kernel, namely, coconut flour, protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins. [Pg.773]

The skim milk is spray-dried to recover proteins and carbohydrates. Residue from the screw press and parings are milled to recover oil and coconut flour. [Pg.774]

Coconut Flour. Coconut flour is produced from the shredded kernel, dried in a continuous countercurrent drier, and subsequently extracted with solvent to remove the residual oil. The white meal produced contains 25% protein and 65% carbohydrate, as well as various minerals and vitamins (62). This coconut product... [Pg.2372]

Another commonly employed low-cost organic filler is coconut shell flour. This can be incorporated into the moulding composition in large quantities and this results in cheaper mixes than when woodflour is used. The mouldings also have a good finish. However, coconut shell flour-filled mouldings have poor mechanical properties and hence the filler is generally used in conjunction with woodflour. [Pg.647]

The adhesive resins are of the novolak type and generally hardened by paraformaldehyde (which may be supplied mixed with coconut shell flour or diatomaceous earth) in conjunction with an accelerator such as magnesium oxide. [Pg.662]

Low vitamin E content (0.5-5 milligrams/ 00 grams). Apple, bacon, bean (dry navy), beef, beef liver, blackberry. Brussels sprouts, butter, carrot, cauliflower, cheeses, coconut, corn (maize), corn (maize) meal, eggs, flour (whole wheat), kale, kohlrabi, lamb, lettuce, mustard, oats, oatmeal, olive, parsnip, pea. pear, pepper (sweet), pork, rioe (brown), rye, sweet potato, turnip greens, veal, wheat. [Pg.1705]

With the mixer running on low speed, alternate adding the flour mixture and the coconut mixture to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour. [Pg.49]

Baked taro and coconut pudding. dSteamed rice flour confection. Steamed pork-filled bun. [Pg.33]

Coal, sized wet or dry Coconut, shredded Coffee, ground Corn flakes Flour, wheat... [Pg.86]

Coconut shell is the source of two other products, coconut shell flour and activated charcoal. Powdered coconut shell is used in the plastics industry as a compound filler for synthetic resin glues. It is also used as a filler and extender of phenolic molding powders that give a smooth and lustrous finish to molded articles, thereby improving their resistance to moisture and heat. Activated charcoal is an adsorbent for toxic agents. It has been used in gas masks, but can also be used to remove odors and industrial stench. As well, this by-product is a contact catalyst used to facilitate some industrial chemical reactions (61). [Pg.2373]

In a food processor or mixer, combine spelt flour, amaranth flour, psyllium, baking soda, salt, and stevia. Add Almond Milk and coconut oil process until smooth. [Pg.146]

U.S. Pat. No. 6,983,571 [73] discloses a composite roofing panel comprising polyethylene, polypropylene, or a combination thereof in an amount of 20-40% by weight, and natural plant fiber in an amount of 40-75%, selected from the group consisting of wood flour, sugarcane bagasse, hemp, coconut coir, jute, kenaf, sisal, flax, coir pith, rice hulls, and cotton. [Pg.86]

Inulinase Staphylococcus sp. or kluyveromyces marxianus Wheat bran, rice bran, coconut oil cake and corn flour [27]... [Pg.69]

PF-resin A, medium alkali content (8-10%) PF-resin B, low alkali content (3-5%) PF-resin C, medium alkali content (6-8%) PF-powder resin, no addition of water, no dissolving of the powder before blending the strands Extender e.g., coconut shell flour. [Pg.897]

Examples of only a few additives are carbon black, carnauba wax, coconut shell, coke dust, macerated filler, shell flour, vermiculite, and wax. Many additives, especially those that are conductive may affect electrical properties. Most plastics, which are poor conductors of current, build up a charge of static electricity. Antistatic agents can be used to attract moisture, reducing the likelihood of a spark or discharge. [Pg.250]

Lipase of castor beans has been studied most extensively (139-146). In addition, lipases have been shown to be present in the seeds or fruit of oil palm (147), lettuce (148), rice bran (149), barley and malt (150, 151), wheat (150, 152-155), oats and oat flour ( 138, 153, 156), cotton (157), tung kernels (158, 159), com (160, 161), millet (162), coconuts (163), walnuts (164), fusarium (165, 166), Cannabis and Cucurbita (167). Lipase aetivitites of various seeds have been eom-pared (140,168). [Pg.201]
