Together, the anatomical data and the results from genetically modified animals support the idea that SP and other tael-derived neuropeptides, play a major role in stress responses, anxiety, and depression. Presently, there are no morphological-anatomical data to include Basidioradulum, Hyphodontia, Oxyporus, Schizopora and Trichaptum in the Hymenochaetales [Oberwinkler, pers. commun.]. 

The angles of branching, the diameter and lengths of different elements of the airways, and the pulmonary air spaces must be visualized in an arbitrary and oversimplified form to make practical use of anatomic data. Some of the details ofthe divisions of the respiratory system that have been assumed by Landahl [53] and the anatomic flow rate and transitional features in these areas are shown in Table 5. 

These anatomical data reinforce the notion that CB 1 receptors play an important role in the mediation of motor effects of cannabinoid agonists, an idea that is supported by results obtained when studying motor function in mice deficient in CBl receptor gene expression (Ledent et al. 1999 Zimmer et al. 1999). These knockout mice exhibited significant motor disturbances, although the two models developed so far have yielded conflicting results, since a trend to hyperlocomotion was observed in one of these two models (Ledent et al. 1999) and hypoactivity was evident in the other (Zimmer et al. 1999).

The main limitations of the Weinbaum-Jiji equation are associated with the importance of the countercurrent heat exchange. It was derived to describe heat transfer in peripheral tissue only, where its fundamental assumptions are most applicable. In tissue area containing a big blood vessel (>200 /rm in diameter), the assumption that most of the heat leaving the artery is recaptured by its countercurrent vein could be violated, thus, it is not an accurate model to predict the temperature field. In addition, this theory was primarily developed for closely paired microvessels in muscle tissue, which may not always be the main vascular structure in other tissues, such as the renal cortex. Furthermore, unlike the Pennes equation, which requires only the value of blood perfusion, the estimation of the enhancement in thermal conductivity requires that detailed anatomical studies be performed to estimate the vessel number density, size, and artery-vein spacing for each vessel generation, as well as the blood perfusion rate (Zhu et al., 1995). These anatomic data are normally not available for most blood vessels in the thermally significant range. 

Before a customised interfaee for a hand or foot ean be designed, it is neeessaiy for two interrelated issues to be resolved. The first is the captme of aeeurate 3D anatomical data and the second is to understand how the extremity will move and deform when interacting with the interface.

For the safeguarding of the entire active system of man-machine-environment, exactly the same principles are applied as have been referred to in Reliability and Suitability of Machines. In the case of man, the pertinent procedures can likewise be subdivided into planning, control, and testing. During the planning of a man-machine-environment-system, the anatomical data of the human body and its physiological processes and functions must be taken into account as contributory prerequisites in the same way as the stress characteristics of a material used in the construction of a machine.

The value of morphological and anatomical data in systematics can be assessed when the implications from relatively complete sets of such data are compared with those from molecular evidence. In the following a number of suggested systematic treatments based on morphology and anatomy are therefore compared with available results based on molecular data. 

The concept of biochemical lesion has been a revolutionary weapon against the exclusive domination of Pasteurian ideas and anatomical techniques in pathology. It shows that many pathological conditions (classified according to clinical symptoms or anatomical data) originate from some biochemical trouble which may be proved to be the reason, the primordial anomaly, which, when persisting, determines the macroscopic or microscopic lesicns .
