Penthouse and rooftop equipment should be serviceable via stairs or elevators and via roof walkways (to protect the roofing). The use of yellow or a yellow/black striped combination of paint can be very effective in highlighting physical hazards. Consider painting edges of docks, perimeters of dock plates, barrier posts, walkway lines, machine guards, handrailing, edges of stairs, crane/hoist blocks, and comers of roll-up doors. In addition, red and white paint can be used to highlight fire protection equipment.
