Varnishes anticorrosive

Chem. Descrip. Dimethicone copolyol emulsion Uses Defoamer for water-based emulsion paints and water-thinnable systems, building protection coatings (acrylic, styrene-acrylic, PVA), wood/furniture varnishes, anticorrosive coatings/industrial paints (alkyd, polyester, acrylic), polymer emulsions defoamer in food-contact paper/ paperboard... [Pg.842]

Similarly to bis(octylphenoxy)dithiophosphate, one can obtain other bis(alkylphenoxy)derivatives of dithiophosphoric acid. As mentioned above, these ethers are veiy efficient additives for lubricant oils used in intensive operation engines. An addition of 1-5% of these substances greatly increases thermal oxidative stability and anticorrosion properties of lubricant oils and reduce varnish formation in engines. [Pg.427]

Zinc chromate is used in the following applications in pigments in paints, varnishes and oil colors, as an anticorrosive in primer coatings, as metal conditioners prior to priming, and as a catalyst. [Pg.603]

That is why the aim of the presented work was to develop the methods of a synthesis of the nanosized pigments with anticorrosive properties on a basis of the zinc phosphates, which permit to create imder the industrial conditions the new competitive materials for their using in varnished-paint indrrstry, for protection of the metal constraction from the corrosion, etc. [Pg.244]

Uses Surf, control agent, mar resistant aid for water- and solv.-based paints (alkyd, alkyd-melamine, PU, vinyl), building protection coatings, anticorrosive paints, wood/furniture varnishes, printing inks Features Hydrolytically stable... [Pg.843]

Uses Intermediate for mfg. of polymers modifying comonomer in prep, of vinyl acetate-based polymer latexes for mfg. of specialty emulsion paints (gloss paints and varnishes, water repellents, anticorrosion paints, coatings for polyolefins), comonomer with acrylates for prod, of emulsion, sol n., and bulk polymers, acid or anhydride-cured acrylic automotive coatings, acrylic powd. coatings... [Pg.905]

Uses Resin chemical intermediate for phenolic resin synthesis and modification, varnishes and impregnating materials, plasticizers, gennicides, insecticides, coloring material, indelible inks, lubricants, preservatives raw material for surfactants, antioxidants, anticorrosives lubricant additive resin modifier cosolvent for insecticides Manuf/Distrib. Arista Ind. [Pg.1030]

Wood and metal including anticorrosive finishes - special emulsions ensure requisite hardness, solvent resistance etc. in air drying of stoving finishes Alkali-soluble emulsion polymers provide a reliable, consistent varnish base, particularly for flexographic inks... [Pg.225]

The shape of particles, as was also mentioned, affects the covering power and the permeation to gases and liquids. For example, lamellar pigments are used to color anticorrosive varnishes they form a protective thin layer against gases, liquids, and light. [Pg.105]

Thus, primers for new wood and certain other surfaces must provide for exceptional absorption of the medium. Primers for steelwork contain special anticorrosive pigments, such as red lead, zinc chromate, zinc powder, etc. See Metal Primer and Plaster Primer. A coating applied to a surface, prior to the application of an adhesive, to improve the performance of the bond. (Martens CR (1968) Technology of paints, varnishes and lacquers. Reinhold, New York Paint / coatings dictionary. Compiled by Definitions Committee of the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology, 1978)... [Pg.587]

Uses Defoamer for waterborne industrial coatings, architectural with associative thickeners, clear overprint varnishes, wood lacquers, anticorrosive primers, plastic clear coats, marine topcoats, wood furniture coatings, adhesives, flexographic and gravure inks food-pkg. adhesives defoamer in food-contact coatings, paper/... [Pg.303]

Uses Mar resist, aid for solv.-based paints, primers, extenders, automotive paints, building protection coatings, anticorrosion paints, wood/fumiture varnishes, industrial paints, lacquers, aq. and solv.-based printing inks Features Reduces surf, tens., improves leveling Reguiatory BgW approved... [Pg.1129]

Uses Mar resist, aid, flow aid, leveling agent, surf. tens, reducer, wetting agent for solv.-based paints (PU, vinyl, alkyd-melamlne, acrylate-isocyanate), one-coat systems, anticorrosive paints, wood/fumiture varnishes, printing inks Properties Gardner 2 max. d. liq. sol.
