Users Guide

The following information is provided to assist in understanding the nature of the questions to ask in evaluating the projects or programs using PET analysis. 

All codes, standards, regulations, operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and the like relevant to a given operation. 

Do the procedures contain the necessary information in the correct language and format for successfully linking people, facilities, and hardware to provide a safe, efficient operation  

Have qualified people reviewed, checked, and tested the procedures to ensure that they are doing their job properly  

Is there a simple method of ensuring that the procedure is current  

This supplement is intended as a guide only. The analyst should not hesitate to expand or modify the data collection process to ht specific needs and circumstances. 

Work-around Provisions. When certain requirements cannot be met or things cannot be done normally or in the desired manner, are alternate solutions or approaches addressed  

Exceptions covered. Are there times, circumstances, or conditions when part or all of the document does not apply Are the criteria for exceptions clearly stated

In addition to the documents that serve product manufacture and installation or service delivery, documents may also be required for maintenance and operation. The product descriptions, handbooks, operating manuals, user guides, and other documents which support the product or service in use are as much a part of the design as the other product requirements. Unlike the manufacturing data, the support documents may be published either generally or supplied with the product to the customer. The design of such documentation is critical to the success of the product, as poorly constructed handbooks can be detrimental to sales. 

Model calculation Caleulation of strueture, energy and other properties, together with assoeiated graphieal surfaees and maps, for eaeh model needs to be earned out using Spartan. Standard procedures apply and all calculation methods are available. Full details are provided in the appropriate User Guides.
