Treatment alternatives suitability

Antibody molecules cannot be seen with the light microscope unless they are labeled. A variety of labels have been used including fluorescent compounds and their active enzymes, all with the property of inducing the formation of a colored reaction product from a suitable substrate system to allow visualization. Some of these systems can be employed in electron microscopy by rendering the reaction product electron dense through appropriate treatment. Alternatively, particulate labels such as gold, ferritin, or viral particles can be used (Leong 1993). 

All the important and relevant costs and consequences for each program or treatment alternative should be identified. The costs and consequences identified must be relevant to the study perspective(s) and measured in suitable terms using the appropriate physical units. Costs should include direct, indirect, and intangible costs. Consequences should include the positive and negative clinical and humanistic outcomes associated with the program or treatment alternative. All these costs and consequences must be valued credibly, with the data sources clearly identified. 

For a successful demonstration of magnetic activation and deactivation, a further improvement of the electrical performance of the existing spinOFET prototype devices is required. In this respect, the main challenge is to improve the DH4T layer growth by applying a suitable substrate treatment, alternative to the common procedure, which has turned out to be incompatible with the ferromagnetic contact material.

The full dynamical treatment of electrons and nuclei together in a laboratory system of coordinates is computationally intensive and difficult. Small Communities. Small communities and recent subdivision additions to larger communities, which have not yet been coimected to municipal coUection systems, must have a means of waste disposal. Septic tanks are a possibiHty, but require periodic servicing and cleaning. Furthermore, the soil is not always suitable for accepting the effluent. An alternative is the package plant. These units are commercially produced to serve small areas. They furnish primary treatment and some secondary treatment, and require only minimal operating supervision. For the topical treatment of some chronic inflammatory skin diseases (like atopic dermatitis) immunosuppressive macrolides (like TRL and pimecrolimus) that permeate the inflamed epidermis are of benefit for patients. Severe side effects comparable to those after systemic application of TRL in transplanted patients (see above) have not been observed so far. For the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris these drugs are less effective. The CD2 antagonist alefacept may be a suitable alternative to allergic reactions. 

Drug desensitization is a potentially life-threatening procedure that requires continuous monitoring in a hospital setting with suitable access to emergency treatment and intubation. It should be undertaken only under the direction of a physician with suitable training and experience. In such hands, desensitization presents less risk than treatment failure with a less effective alternative medication.
