The benzylisoquinolines, characterized by papaverine [58-74-2] (1.0%), a smooth muscle relaxant, and noscapine [128-62-1] (6.0%), an antitussive agent, do not have any analgesic effects. The phenanthrenes, the second group, are the more common and include 10% morphine (1, = R = H), 0.5% codeine [76-57-3], C gH2 N03, (1, R = H, R = CH3), and 0.2 thebaine [115-37-7], C 2H2 N03, (2).

National Defense Stockpile Goal for tin at 42,700 metric tons. On January 2, 1980, the Strategic and Critical Materials Transaction Authorization Act became effective. This authorizes the President to dispose of materials determined to be excessive to the current needs of the stockpile. This act provides for the sale of up to 35,600 metric tons of tin, including a contribution of up to 5100 metric tons of tin to the International Tin Council (ITC) buffer stock (see below). The GSA set up a schedule to offer about 500 metric tons of Grade A tin, for domestic sales and consumption only, every other Tuesday beginning July 1, 1980. On December 14, 1981, the restrictions on exporting the GSA tin sold were lifted sales increased immediately. Thus, from July 1, 1980, through December 11, 1981, the total GSA sales were 3170 metric tons. An additional 1815 metric tons were sold soon thereafter, mostiy to traders (10). 

Although in the past calcium crown has been priced up to 8.95/kg, in the 1990s calcium has been priced as low as 5.00/kg by traders selling non-Westem supply. Depending on the amount of processing involved, alloys and particulates may fetch prices in the range of 7—15/kg for large quantities. 

The terms cocoa and cacao often are used interchangeably in the Hterature. Both terms describe various products from harvest through processing. In this article, the term cocoa will be used to describe products in general and the term cacao will be reserved for botanical contexts. For a long time there has been private, in-house quality research, especially in the biodynamic sector and by some larger organic traders and processors. These vary from crystallisation techniques to broad screen residue analyses of raw materials. These in-house quality management schemes are not standard they depend on how seriously the companies take their responsibility towards their clients and/or want to avoid surprises by the food authorities.
