The members of the European project Nano Code insist that the European code of conduct is more specific in ifs formulation. They state that scientists are only responsible for good scientific practice, and not what will be done with their work by other people in the future. As the great stumbled, the path forward was horizontal processes. The most common are revenue management, sales and operations planning, supplier development, and corporate social responsibility. As companies answer these questions and build their supply chain strategies, it is time to look forward. We can learn from history, but need to forge the path forward to drive differentiation. Before we can run the race, we must train.
