NCI00100 (Nycomed, Oslo, Norway) is composed of stabilized perfluorocarbon microbubbles. In a randomized comparison of technetium sestamibi single-photon emission-computed tomography (SPECT) and NClOOlOO in the assessment of myocardial perfusion in 203 patients with myocardial infarction, NClOOlOO was well tolerated, with no serious adverse events or deaths (10). Similarly there were no clinically important changes in vital signs, laboratory parameters, or electrocardiography.
