Target groups

The schemes introduced here were implemented to achieve different objectives. All schemes tended to define their objectives very well, making them quite explicit, which is generally considered best practice. This helps, for example, to define the boundaries of the scheme, and it provides the initiative with focus and momentum. Setting precise objectives also implies that your mentee target group will be well defined - an aspect that featured in virtually all schemes - i.e. programs were not typically open to anyone. ... 

Provide you with a framework for the design and implementation of the scheme. For example, by researching the needs of your employees, you will find it easier to set effective program objectives and to identify your mentee target group. 

The main objective of stage 3 is to establish whether your employee target group already possesses the competencies and experience required for business goal achievement. The distribution of information is yet another vital step towards the success of the scheme. Not only does it serve to educate people about the mentoring program it also serves to sell the initiative. And what is more, the dissemination of information about the scheme helps to prevent problems that might arise as a result of misconceptions of mentoring. For example, those precluded from the scheme (because they do not match the mentee target group) must also receive sufficient information about it so that they ...

It was developed by the Austrian Textile Research Institute (OTI) and the German Research Institute Hohenstein and is a product label based on test for harmful substances in leather (or textiles), and the primary target group is the textile and clothing industry.
