Support quality

NDT as an objective method, which can be applied for 100% control if necessary, is used for quality assessment of critical components all over the world. But it is necessary to support quality of the implementation of NDT to ensure the detection of defects and to achieve reliable results. 

Documentation and verification are two principles that support quality by assuring that food production and management systems are capable of achieving certain quality or safety levels. 

Develop policy-supporting SOPs on computer systems. These may include development, testing, maintenance and support, quality assurance, change control, source code management, system retirement, retrospective evaluation, evaluation of vendor-supplied systems, etc. 

In all cases the number of pinholes and of other types of casting defects is critically dependent on the quality of the support. It is critical to the success of the implementation and continued maintenance of a quality program that management commitment is constantly visible to the company s employees. Management that clearly support quality by way of leadership and adequate resource allocation is more likely to secure and retain committed and enthusiastic employees. Executive management that does not walk the talk is likely to be viewed as duplicitous and not genuinely committed to the corporate quality mission. Employees should be encouraged to become involved and take ownership of compliance enhancements and continuous improvements in their specific areas.
