Specific Reaction due to Sensitization

In sensitized guinea pigs, the macroscopic reaction which follows the patch test (1% PNDMA in olive oil) begins to appear within 2 to 3 hours. It is very distinct after 14 hours, it decreases after 24 hours and shades off progressively. We do not observe an erythema which is as confined as that observed with DNCB, because the excipient is different olive oil for PNDMA, acetone for DNCB. This erythematous lesion is accompanied by an edema. [Pg.28]


As described above, gas sensors as HTS tools in catalysis have been applied in several reactions due to their small size, easy parallelization and high sensitivity. It has earlier been suggested to make cytochrome c a more specific reagent for superoxide detection by its acetylation or succinoylation [9-11], It was proposed that acetylation and succinoylation must cause a greater decrease in the reaction of cytochrome c with NADPH cytochrome P-450 reductase than with superoxide due to a decrease in the electrostatic charge of native cytochrome c [12].
