A company usually sets product standards in such a way as to minimize the purification expenses. These standards are often empirical tests to ensure that the buyer will get the same product in each shipment. Examples would be the melt index of a polymer, the boiling-point range of the product, and the maximum amount of certain impurities. Another manufacturer using a different process would want to set different standards. His method of production will be different, and so the amount and kind of impurities will be different. Sometimes this means expensive purification steps must be installed to meet the specifications set by the initial manufacturer. If this competitor could have been the initial standard-setter then these steps would not be necessaiy.

The Council is composed of 17 national organizations and agencies, representative of health professions, licensing boards, health care facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturers, regulators, standards setters, and others (Table 1). The membership of the NCC MERP is interdisciplinary and represents crossfunctional groups in the delivery of health eare products and services. USP is a founding member and Secretariat to the Couneil. 

The Council encourages collaboration among industry, regulators, standards-setters, health care professionals, and patients to facilitate design of packaging and labeling to help minimize errors.

Fuze Setter. A device de.signed for manual and/or automatic setting of time fuzes (Ref 38b, p 128)... 

Fuze Setter-Rammer. An automatic electrically motivated mechanism combining fuze setter and rammer. The fuze is set by means of a fuze setter, the lower cap being turned in a counterclockwise direction as viewed from the point of the fuze to increase the setting, and clockwise to reduce it. In the case of early M43A1 fuzes, it is necessary to remove the pull wire before setting the fuze. This can be done readily by pulling the end of the wire from the hole in the lower cap and sliding the wire off the end of the fuze...
