BALB/c mice were inoculated s.c. with Meth A tumor cells in the right flank on day 0 and rechallenged intravenously with the same tumor on day 9 or 58. The primary tumor was removed on day 11. All the firing tests have been performed with respect to the NIJ norm level n (NH Standard 0101.04, 2011), which corresponds to 9 mm ammunition at a speed of 358 m/s. Six shots have been carried out, two on the right flank, two on the left flank, one in the middle of the body armour and one on the nipple. To better measure the blunt trauma effect after impact, plastiline clay of the type Roma no. 1 has been shaped in 3D to represent the wearer s body. The body armour was fitted onto the 3D plastiline clay during the ballistic tests, ensuring that the vest behaved in the way it would on a real female body (Fig. 8.17). 

Pre-mRNA processing is performed by a complex called the spliceo-some. This is composed of small molecules of RNA known as small nuclear RNA (snRNA) and proteins to form several different types of small nuclear rihonucleoprotein (snRNP usually pronounced snurps ). One type of snRNP binds to the 5 end (or left flank) of the intron while another type of snRNP binds to the 3 end (or right flank) of the intron. 

The detachment from the ist Platoon, which landed on the right flank of Red Beach, was led by Capt. Sam Kesner, assistant chemical officer of the 3d Division. For some reason the landing craft dropped its amphibious tanks some 1,000 yards from shore. Consequently, Kesner s party, which remained in the LCT, had to unload its pots the hard way. Some were thrown into two 6-man rubber boats and towed to the beach. The rest of the smoke munitions were tossed overboard and floated ashore in their crates, an expedient made necessary by the pressure of enemy small arms fire. The situation was made more difficult because the LCT had landed 400 yards to the right of its assigned area in order to avoid mines. The smoke plan called for four positions on the beach, a number soon increased to twelve because of the adverse winds. The smoke detail soon pushed inland about loo yards, suffering four casualties in the early hours.
