Review scheduling

The project review process involves multiple steps that should be definea in management gmdelines (CCPS, 1993, pp. 57-61). The steps include (1) review pohcy, (2) review scheduling, (3) reviewtech-nique, (4) review team representation, (5) review documentation, (6) review follow-up, (7) review follow-up verification, and (8) review procedures change management. These steps define how a review, whether it be a safety review, environmental review, pre-start-up review, or whatever, is conducted and how closure of review aclion items is achieved. 

Review Scheduling A review scheduhng procedure should be estabhshed that documents who is responsible for initiating the review and when the review(s) should occur during the project. The scheduling needs to balance availability of process information, review technique used, and the impact of potential review action items on project costs (i.e., early enough to minimize the cost of any potential changes to the process). The aclual amount of time needed for the review should also be stated in the procedure. On the basis of the number of project reviews required and the estimated time needed for each review, the project cost estimate should include the cost for project reviews as part of the total cost for the project. 

Interfaces should be reviewed along with other aspects of the design at regular design reviews, scheduled prior to the completion of each phase or more often if warranted. 

Reviews schedule of administration and prescribed number of sprays to each nostril based on signs and symptoms of disease (diabetes insipidus), such as frequency of urination and increased thirst. 

The order in which the initial PrHAs are performed is based on the level of perceived risk. Initial PrHAs must be completed, at least, in increments of 25 percent, as shown in Table 7.1. A 5-year review schedule should be based on the initial rankings. Following this schedule means that PrHA updates are completed annually for at least one-fourth of the processes.

Ensure an adequate technical review while observing the proposed review schedule. 

An overall time bar of the review session and documentation preparation can be made as part of a project master plan. An example of the HAZOP or What-If review schedule is presented in Figure 3. Based on the estimated schedule an integrated schedule with the project design highlighting project milestones, can be prepared if desired. 

QA auditors are often tasked with responsibilities related to SOP management, such as maintaining originally signed versions, managing the dissemination (electronically and as hard copies), organizing SOP reviews (scheduled and ad hoc) and, sometimes, even writing SOPs for departments other than QA. 

Periodic review scheduling. An electronic document management system can act as a tickler system to assist in scheduling periodic procedure reviews. An electronic database system can automatically start a clock each time a procedure is approved and provide a monthly or weekly report on which procedures require review. 

The Pilot Plant Director who coordinates hazard review scheduling, prepares a hazard review summary and keeps comprehensive records of all information pertinent to a process.

We finally review scheduling methods which put more emphasis on conditional branching. The main idea of these algorithms is to schedule mutually exclusive operations to allow sharing of hardware, and possibly a faster schedule for some paths in the control flow graph. 

Good interdisciplinary communication between surgeon and anesthesiologist minimizes delays and cancellations in the schedule and helps to prevent or anticipate critical situations. Charts and records should be made accessible to all perioperative caregivers. Ideally, they should review scheduled patients together in advance.

The SEMP also describes the structure of the project teams and outlines the project deliverables, decision database, specifications, and baselines. The SEMP may be tailored to fit the size and complexity of the project. It may be generated so that the template may be reused on future projects in the organization. Appendices are used to capture milestones, technical review schedules, and the roadmap for resolution of problems and identified hazards throughout the life cycle.
