Resist materials metal-containing polymers

Linear polycarbosilanes and polycarbosiloxanes-especially those containing arylene units in the chain-have specific physico-chemical properties which can be applicable in heat-resistant materials [29-31]. Phenylene-silylene-ethylene-polymers, which may serve as potential substrates for applications as membrane materials are usually obtained in the presence of platinum catalysts [32], although other transihon-metal complexes have also been tested in this process. [Pg.349]

Polymeric compounds containing transition metals may exhibit unusual and technologically useful properties quite different to those of the organic materials [1]. Coordination polymers having one dimensional metal atrai chains are of great interest in order to obtain materials, with high resistance to heat and oxidation or with new combinations of properties that are not encountered in the organic materials. Renewed interest in the synthesis of a wide variety of coordination polymers has also increased in response to aerospace requirements for heat-resistant materials [2-4]. [Pg.301]

Liquid polyalurninum chloride is acidic and corrosive to common metals. Suitable materials for constmction of storage and handling facilities include synthetic mbber-lined steel, corrosion resistant fiber glass reinforced plastics (FRP), ceramics, tetrafluoroethylene polymer (PTFE), poly(vinyhdene fluoride) (PVDF), polyethylene, polypropylene, and poly(vinyl chloride) (PVG). Suitable shipping containers include mbber-lined tank tmcks and rail cars for bulk shipment and plastic-lined or aH-plastic dmms and tote bins for smaller quantities. Except for aluminum chlorohydrates, PAG products are shipped as hazardous substances because of their acidity. [Pg.180]
