Varions terms characterize PSA performance. Chief among them are prodnct parity, product recovery, adsorbent productivity, and energy requirements. Because RPSA is appHed to gain maximum product rate from minimum adsorbent, single beds are the norm. The process options reflect the broad range of compositions and gas volumes that must be processed. Both batch processes and continuous processes are used. Batch processes are used when the daily production of sulfur is small and of the order of 10 kg. Separation of Norma/ and Isoparaffins. The recovery of normal paraffins from mixed refinery streams was one of the first commercial appHcations of molecular sieves.
