Section 1.9 showed that as long as an oxide layer remains adherent and continuous it can be expected to increase in thickness in conformity with one of a number of possible rate laws. This qualification of continuity is most important the direct access of oxidant to the metal by way of pores and cracks inevitably means an increase in oxidation rate, and often in a manner in which the lower rate is not regained. In common with other phase change reactions the volume of the solid phase alters during the course of oxidation it is the manner in which this change is accommodated which frequently determines whether the oxide will develop discontinuities. It is found, for example, that oxidation behaviour depends not only on time and temperature but also on specimen geometry, oxide strength and plasticity or even on specific environmental interactions such as volatilisation or dissolution. 

Defined maintenance procedures should include model or manufacturer specifics and a list of parts to be inspected, cleaned, lubricated, replaced, and/or calibrated. The replacement part numbers, cleaning solutions and lubricants, and calibration standards, along with the manufacturer s maintenance procedures to be followed, should be specified. Documentation is easily managed by creating a one-page checklist of instructions or performance parameters that can be checked off as each task is completed. Any issues or comments can be captured directly on the checklist. Provisions for failure or out-of-tolerance notification need to be clearly defined, as the equipment cannot be put back into service until the performance has been verified by conducting a performance qualification. 

The operation specs often map directly to tests. Thus, the spec for squareRoot easily translates into test code so does schedule course, after we write query functions to determine attributes related to instructor qualification and availability in terms of the concrete implementation. Some specifications may need to be refactored a bit to be tested effectively. A literal usage of takeShortestPath as a test specification would require generating all possible paths to show that the computed path is the shortest, but that s not a very practical test strategy.10...

After thermocouples are removed, the areas shall be examined by NDE visual and PT or MT for evidence of defects to be repaired. 

Fuel cells using directly liquid fuels are advantageous in this aspect. Methanol, formaldehyde (water solution), formic acid (water solution) and hydrazine are among fuels relatively easy to oxidize electrochemically. Alcohol and hydrocarbon with larger molecular weight are much harder to oxidize completely to C02- Other qualifications to be considered are price, availability, safety, energy density and ease of handling.

Automated qualification software is yet another area of CDS development that has been affected by regulatory compliance. When you look at today s CDS solutions, it is typical to see the system providing direct digital control of the instrumentation. Many CDS manufacturers offer software tools that are capable of automating the installation qualification (IQ) and operational qualification (OQ) process. In addition, some manufacturers also offer software that can automate the performance qualification (PQ) for the various forms of instrumentation that it is capable of controlling. These automated software tools are not only time savers for the laboratory, but they also help to properly document the system qualification effort. 

For a molecular ion with charge number Q a transformation between isotopic variants becomes complicated in that the g factors are related directly to the electric dipolar moment and irreducible quantities for only one particular isotopic variant taken as standard for this species these factors become partitioned into contributions for atomic centres A and B separately. For another isotopic variant the same parameters independent of mass are still applicable, but an extra term must be taken into account to obtain the g factor and electric dipolar moment of that variant [19]. In this way the relations between rotational and vibrational g factors and and its derivative, equations (9) and (10), are maintained as for neutral molecules. Apart from the qualification mentioned below, each of these formulae applies individually to each particular isotopic variant, but, because the electric dipolar moment, referred to the centre of molecular mass of each variant, varies from one cationic variant to another because the dipolar moment depends upon the origin of coordinates, the coefficients in the radial function apply rigorously to only the standard isotopic species for any isotopic variant the extra term is required to yield the correct value of either g factor from the value for that standard species [19]. 

The word "tolerability" is perhaps a little clumsy but it describes accurately what is assessed, namely how well the drug is tolerated by those to whom it is administered. This last qualification is necessary because there are many instances in which a drug is better tolerated or less well tolerated by young healthy volunteers than by patients. For example, anxiolytics and tricyclic antidepressants are usually far better tolerated by patients with depression than by healthy volunteers. However, healthy volunteer studies generally provide useful information about tolerability even if it may under- or overestimate tolerability in patients. Many adverse reactions wiU be directly related to the known pharmacological activity of the drug and are therefore predictable.

Establish Personal Qualification Pathways Good business practice, as well as CFR 21 211.25, mandates that each employee possess the education, training, and experience to enable him or her to perform assigned functions in a safe and effective manner. The training plan must contain a policy allowing personnel to demonstrate their qualifications. This should cover training and supervisory personnel as well as those directly involved with operations.
