Promote products

Trade secrets become unprotectable when they are found in the pubHc domain, are independentiy developed, or are disclosed out of confidence. Events of the latter type may occur in any number of controUed or uncontroUed situations. For example, a promotional event such as a trade show or a required disclosure to a governmental agency may result in disclosure of the trade secret. Further, pubHcations in journals or maga2ines which may be necessary to promote products may lead to a disclosure of trade secrets. Idle correspondence, conversations, or communications with sales associates, suppHers, or distributors may also result in disclosure of trade secret information. [Pg.40]

The majority of these members are a receptor for phorbol esters, the tumor-promoting products obtained from croton oil. One of them, 12-O-tctradccanoylphorbol- 13-acetate (TPA), is a potent... [Pg.251]

However, even such distinguishing characteristics have become blurred. EPO, for example, is produced in the kidney and liver and acts in an endocrine manner, promoting production of red blood cells in the bone marrow. EPO could thus also be considered to be a true hormone. [Pg.210]

Finally, the representative must learn the details of the product licence and thus know how, when promoting the product, to avoid being in breach of either the Medicines Act or the ABPI Code of Practice, which is written specifically to assist company personnel in promoting products to prescribers in an appropriate manner. [Pg.365]

The type of solvent can affect the kinetics, and, as a consequence, the equilibrium is sometimes not reached within a reasonable time. For example, Kim and Shin studied the kinetically controlled synthesis of alitame precursor (Z-Asp(OEt)-D-Ala-NH2), and better results were obtained in the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide and 2-methoxyethyl acetate as adjuvants. These solvents promoted product precipitation while maintaining the reaction mixture in a homogeneous state, thus improving the conversion [64]. [Pg.290]

Process documentation of this type also promotes product consistency, lessening the likelihood of producing unacceptable product which must be discarded. Moreover, procedural guidelines can be helpful in reducing waste generation during maintenance or emergency shutdowns. [Pg.110]

From (8.34c) or (8.35), it is easy to see that if the chosen reaction is endothermic (AH° > 0), then a T increase tends to promote product formation (the reaction shifts right ). Conversely, if the reaction is exothermic (AH° < 0), a temperature increase promotes formation of reactants (the equilibrium shifts left ). Such conclusions appear intuitive from the perspective of Le Chatelier s principle, and indeed we shall show in Section 8.6 that such Le Chatelier-like conclusions arise from deep theoretical roots that permeate the Van t Hoff equation and many other thermodynamic relationships. [Pg.289]

The shift of Keq with P change can therefore be predicted from the sign of AV° if reaction volume / creases (A gas > 0), then a P increase shifts Keq toward the reactant side, whereas if reaction volume decreases (A gas < 0), a P increase will promote product formation. These inferences are consistent with the expectations of Le Chatelier s principle. [Pg.290]

The Lab Manager system is an efficient and comprehensive laboratory data management computer system designed and implemented to specifically accommodate the unique operations of diverse laboratories. The configurability and adaptability of the Lab Manager system promotes productivity, allows creation of systems meeting individual laboratory needs rapidly at low cost and permits the system to inexpensively and expeditiously adapt to evolving laboratory operations. [Pg.28]

Prolactin inhibitors. Dopamine released from hypothalamic neurosecretory nerve cells inhibits the secretion of prolactin from the adenohypophysis (p. 238). Prolactin promotes production of breast milk during the lactation period moreover it inhibits the secretion of gonadorelin. D2 receptor agonists prevent prolactin secretion and can be used for weaning and the treatment of fe-... [Pg.116]

For a B2B company, it is important to be seen as technically and economically competent (Figure 15-6). The firm has to be trustworthy. In addition, it must show interest in the customer - not so much in itself The result can look a bit boring compared with the personalities of B2C companies, where fashion and emotion play a much larger role in promoting products. Flowever, we will see that selling in the B2B market is at least as exciting as the stakes are much higher. [Pg.169]

On the other hand, oxidative stress has also been found to induce PSl transcription, thereby promoting production of pathological levels of Af) in AD (Tamagno et al., 2008). Indeed, it has been proposed that the pathophysiology of oxidative stress is reflected in damage to tissue biomolecules, including lipids, proteins, and DNA by free radicals (Migliore and Coppede, 2009). [Pg.609]

Alkylation with Friedel-Crafts catalysts can promote production of soluble products from coal. This method Is currently not economical but the Information obtained has clarified several points. The extracts obtained from the alkylation of coal as described above, are black, shiny, solid substances which are not distillable and apparently still have very high molecular weights. They are very similar In their properties to the extracts which we have obtained previously by acylation of the same coals with carboxylic acid chlorides and aluminum chloride. [Pg.416]

Several reasons were proposed to explain the cleaner chemistry. First, the electrostatic fields (0.3 and 0.9 V for Na-Y and Ba-Y, respectively) in the zeolite stabilize the hydrocarbon-02 charge transfer, thereby shifting the transition to visible wavelengths. Second, the use of visible excitation suppresses the secondary photochemistry rampant with UV light. Third, the steric constraints imposed by the zeolite promote product selectivity. This chemistry can be demonstrated by the reaction of 2,3-dimethyl-2-butene (DMB). Figure 26a shows the electronic spectrum... [Pg.2825]
