Post integration plan

Interim measures may be separate from the comprehensive Corrective Action plan but should be consistent with, and integrated with, any longer-term Corrective Action (e.g., corrective measure through an order, an op erating permit, a post-closure permit or interim status closure requirements). To the extent possible, interim measures should not seriously complicate the ultimate physical management of hazardous wastes or constituents, nor should they present or exacerbate a health or environmental threat. Interim measures may add additional costs or work to the comprehensive Corrective Action. Such added costs or work do not preclude implementation of an interim measure. [Pg.114]

At the strategic level, boiler water treatment practice is essentially the planned, actioned, and documented management of the waterside of pre-boiler, boiler, and post-boiler plant equipment and systems. A key objective is to identify, obtain, and maintain operational and economic benefits for the plant owners, including maintaining the cleanliness and structural integrity of the boiler, its various water-steam cycle auxiliaries, and other components for a specified (long-term) period and to some quantifiable standard. [Pg.131]

Strength South Carolina Firefighter Mobilization plan activated and well staffed. Unified Command provided access to all needed agencies. Federal agencies well-integrated and supportive EPA continually provided maps once the Unified Command Post (UCP) was established. Mutual aid agreements were in place with SRS (Savannah River Site) and Aiken County. Fort Gordon Haz-Mat resources were briefed to GVW Fire Department... [Pg.8]

It might be debated whether a strict distinction between skin-care products used before and after work is justified because their various properties as emollients have been shown to treat and prevent ICD. The benefit of an integrated skin protection based on different products still has to be validated. However, a strict and easily understandable separation into preexposure BCs, mild skin cleansers and post-exposure skin care products might be necessary to increase the acceptance and appreciation of skin care at the workplace. Most manufacturers offer special plans to pursue this aim. [Pg.494]

Two approaches were proposed to overcome the issues presented by standard navigations (see Figure 4.9). The first involved the use of patient-specific templates or frames [76]. Based on the principles of the stereotactic frame, this approach involved the construction of a patient-specific drill guide specific to the patient anatomy and the locations of several preimplanted attachment posts. The constructed template is mounted to the posts, and the drill constrained to the planned path. The use of these frames is currently undergoing clinical evaluation [77]. The second approach involves the use of robotics early work involved the modification of industrial robots [78] however, suitable clinical accuracy could not be achieved and methods for integration into the operating room remained unsolved. [Pg.104]

It was planned a field experiment series in which the sensitivity of the two s stems was measured. A 2 m polyethylene foil chamber was used as a gas cell and some free disseminations w re used in the experiments. Sensitivity of the differential absorption lidar systems are charaterized by the minimum detectable path integrated concentration of materials to be detected, their response time and their range. During the field test integration times were 1 sec for all measurements with both VTB-2 and LRS-3 systems. With post processing moving averages were calculated for 10 sec and 30 sec in 1 sec steps. [Pg.247]

Flood risk management includes the analysis and assessment of risks and the formulation and implementation of risk reduction options. Risk analysis includes hazard as well as vulnerability determination and estimates the integral risk. Risk assessment deals with the evaluation and weighing of costs and benefits to derive a tolerable level of risk, taking risk perception into accoimt. Risk reduction deals with planned and realized measures and instruments supposed to decrease risks before (pre-flood), during the event and after an event (post-flood). Figure 38.1 shows the three tasks included in flood risk management. [Pg.1041]

In addition to the difficulty of integrating results obtained with the various speed measures mentioned above, there is also a problem with the validity of the speed measures themselves. It is nearly impossible to obtain an objective measure of the true pre-crash speeds of crash-involved vehicles. This is because crashes are not planned, and consequently speeds must be estimated post hoc by various subjective and objective techniques all having a limited validity. Only three published studies used objective measures of impact speed. In the first study (West and Dunn 1971) pre-crash speeds of approximately one-fourth of the crash-involved vehicles were determined with a high degree of certainty from data obtained from speed detectors embedded in a section of an Indiana rural state highway with a 55-mph (89-km/h) speed limit. In the second study Pasanen and Salmivaara (1993), using a video camera specifically... [Pg.282]
