PASS program

The design of analogues of the second category is sometimes fortuitous, as the result of a pharmacological or a clinical feed-back. For these structural analogues , the observation of a new activity can also result from a planned and systematic investigation such as provided by the use of the PASS program or the SOSA approach. [Pg.21]

The ASC NX compiler supplied with the OS is a very sophisticated multi-pass program which compiles and optimizes a wide variety of source code. [Pg.73]

The scaling of the model performance with the number of processors is usually better with message passing programming (MPI message passing interface) than with a compiler parallelized code (Open MP) for relatively small problems. However, the preference of the different programming techniques is under debate. [Pg.1107]

All contributions in (49a) and (49c) are precomputed and stored, these being common to many matrix elements. Once this step is completed there is no longer any need to keep the cofactors D (i k/) and D (y /c/). Contribution (49c) is reduced by means of techniques similar to those employed in the four-index transformation of two-electron integrals. This can be accomplished in one, two, three or four passes, depending upon the amount of disk space and CPU time available. A two-pass program is probably a good compromise. In the one-pass case, contribution (49c) requires operations, correspond-... [Pg.365]

If deposits are minimized, the areas where caustic can be concentrated is reduced. To minimize the iron deposition in 6.895-12.07 x 10 Pa boilers, specific polymers have been designed to disperse the iron and keep it in the bulk water. As with phosphate precipitation and chelant control programs, the use of these polymers with coordinated phosphate—pH treatment improves deposit control. [Pg.264]

Fig. 4 shows the TPD experimental results for lwt%-PA/AC with toluene and MEK. The desorption characteristics of lwt%-PA/AC with toluene and MEK were determined by raising the room temperature by 5°C /min to 300 0. Maximal desorption concentrations and temperatures of both toluene and MEK were 1.13,1.25 and 15010, loot, respectively. The toluene and MEK adsorbed on lwt%-PA/AC was completely desorbed when the adsorbent was heated in an electric furnace. The temperature of the adsorbent was programmed, and concentration of VOCs desorbed could be controlled at some extents. The desorbed efficiencies of toluene and MEK were 98.1% and 99.1%, respectively. Similar TPD... [Pg.460]

The scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) was used to directly observe nm size crystallites of supported platinum, palladium and first row transition metals. The objective of these studies was to determine the uniformity of size and mass of these crystallites and when feasible structural features. STEM analysis and temperature programmed desorption (TPD) of hydrogen Indicate that the 2 nm platinum crystallites supported on alumina are uniform In size and mass while platinum crystallites 3 to 4 nm in size vary by a factor of three-fold In mass. Analysis by STEM of platinum-palladium dn alumina established the segregation of platinum and palladium for the majority of crystallites analyzed even after exposure to elevated temperatures. Direct observation of nickel, cobalt, or iron crystallites on alumina was very difficult, however, the use of direct elemental analysis of 4-6 nm areas and real time Imaging capabilities of up to 20 Mx enabled direct analyses of these transition metals to be made. Additional analyses by TPD of hydrogen and photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) were made to support the STEM observations. [Pg.374]

For this purpose we studied a temperature-programmed interaction of CH with a-oxygen. Experiments were carried out in a static setup with FeZSM-5 zeolite catalyst containing 0.80 wt % Fe203. The setup was equipped with an on-line mass-spectrometer and a microreactor which can be easily isolated from the rest part of the reaction volume. The sample pretreatment procedure was as follows. After heating in dioxygen at 823 K FeZSM-5 cooled down to 523 K. At this temperature, N2O decomposition was performed at 108 Pa to provide the a-oxygen deposition on the surface. After evacuation, the reactor was cooled down to the room temperature, and CH4 was fed into the reaction volume at 108 Pa. [Pg.498]

We must consider the procedures to be subroutines or subprograms in the program. So we take each procedure body Qp and play the same game. To the entry point of Qp we attach inductive assertion pA and to the exit point we attach inductive assertion pB. We choose the other critical points to cut all cycles and to include all points directly before or directly after calls. We assign inductive assertions to critical points freely, except that for a call... [Pg.285]
