Packaging and quality

The purpose is to develop a procedure for monitoring of personnel hygiene (hands, cough, and clothes) in the production, packaging, and quality assurance staff. 

Release for Sale should require the examination and certification by Quality Assurance of consolidated records of processing, packaging and quality control, to ensure compliance with the Master Formula, compliance with all procedures, acceptable yields and reconciliations and compliance with product specifications. A check list system should be used forthe collected documents to verify that all are present The release should include the dated signature of the person authorised to approve the distribution of the batch (see also Contract Manufacture). 

Principles Every system of quality control requires documentation in order to dispose over ail data serving as the basis for production, packaging and quality assurance and in order to record the history of a lot. 

Record forms concerning production, packaging and quality assurance must be kept on file for at least six years after the date of manufacture or for one year after the expiration date of the respective product. 

Principles Self-inspections are necessary in order to determine and encourage that storage, manufacture, packaging and quality assurance do in fact take place according to the GMP Guidelines.

Fractional and small integral horsepower motors usually operate at 115-230v (AC). Often these come with preassembled or predesigned packages of equipment (or systems) purchased for a specific purpose, and the process engineer may not be involved however, it is essential that the company electrical engineer review these motors and their control specifications for both safety and quality. ...

The need for complete compositional analysis of additive packages in industrial plastics for both research and quality control applications has led to the development of numerous analyte-specific test procedures in recent years. 

One disadvantage of soft gelatin capsules is that such products often must be contracted out to a limited number of firms having the necessary filling equipment and expertise. Materials must be shipped to the soft gelatin capsule facility, and products must be shipped back to the pharmaceutical manufacturer for final packaging and distribution. Additional quality control measures may be required. 

The terms quality assurance and quality control are sometimes used interchangeably, but there is an important difference. Quality control generally refers to testing of raw materials, packaging components, and... 

Pesticides produced in the USSR were usually supplied to farms in extremely inconvenient sizes and packaging (in 100- to 200-liter containers, or in 20- to 50-kilogram bags), with labels that were not in accordance with international standards. The concentration of working solutions of pesticides did not hold up. The pesticide delivery technology did not meet requirements. Because of insufficient packaging and specialized technology, up to 20% of the pesticides were lost on the way to the field. Because sprayer construction was of low quality, 30% of the pesticides used were lost.
