Outsourcing services

Today, there is almost always a relatively low-cost, low-tech solution available as a viable alternative to dumping condensate. Most CR recovery or polishing solutions employ a fixed installation, but mobile retrofits increasingly are being provided by outsourced service providers. See Figure 9.4d for a schematic layout of a mobile boiler condensate conditioning plant.

Logica Global Outsourcing Services has operations in nine European countries, and production centres in four offshore countries. It comprises three service lines-.

It is becoming increasingly cost effective for organizations to outsource service provision. For example, in 1999 Harley-Davidson outsourced its entire indirect spend to three suppliers, who either provide the service required or who in turn arrange services from other suppliers. The savings in 2000 amounted to a reported US 4 million. 

The public sector and government organizations are engaged in initiatives to improve the performance of their service supply chain and reaching out to the experience of global service providers such UPS, FedEx and DHL. The national institution of National Health Service (NHS) in the UK which is known to be an icon of self-contained healthcare services has formed an outsourcing service supply chain parmership with DHL Logistics. 

In the collective struggle to educate and treat children with sed, schools and affiliated mental health service providers often utilize one or more program options. These have included inpatient hospitalization, partial-hospital (day treatment) programs, outsourced services of community mental health agencies, and traditional special education behavioral programs. These options are discussed in the following, with specific emphasis on traditional school-based approaches.
