In selecting head protection, the hazard(s) must be correctly identified. Head protection may be required against falling objects, impact, sideways crush, chemical splash, excessive heat or contact with hot surfaces. There may be a requirement also to protect the face and neck, as well as attachments for other forms of equipment, e.g. face shields. The compatibility of the head protector with other protective equipment, e.g. face mask, must be considered in the initial selection. There are basically two types of head protector ... 

Corrosion may take various forms and may combine other forms of damage (erosion, wear, fatigue, etc.) to cause equipment failure. The forms of corrosion most encountered in drilling equipment are uniform corrosion and galvanic corrosion. 

In the composite boiler, a watertube chamber directly connected to a single-pass shell boiler forms the combustion space housing the fluid bed. In order to fluidize the bed the fan power required would be greater than that with other forms of firing equipment. 

If the water is found fit for consumption, with respect to both its mineral and biological content, the problem of sanitization can still arise. Public supply invariably has a very small residual chlorine level. This suppresses biological growth and maintains water quality even when the line is stagnant. As with other forms of treatment, the scale of private supply is usually too small to allow good control of chlorinating equipment. 

Cyclone separators Often used as roughing systems in process industries before other forms of emission control equipment, seldom satisfactory as stand-alone equipment. 

The continuous-spray design is ideal for any application in which there is a relatively light loading of submicron particles or condensed organics that form a submicron flame. Ordinarily, the only other piece of equipment applicable to this type of loading would be a high-energy scrubber. Since dust resistivity has no effect on the precipitator, it can be applied successfully on many very difficult dry applications.

There are also other forms of containment to consider. The first is mechanical protection in the sense that it protects the environment from missiles or flying debris when the reactor bursts, for example, by placing the equipment in a bunker. This approach is often used for high-pressure laboratory equipment, but in principle, may also be used for industrial equipment. The bunker is generally open to a safe place, where nobody can be harmed. 

The main benefit of tidal power, in comparison with other forms of renewable energy, is its predictability. The timing and force of tides can be predicted with great accuracy, and thus so can the power produced by a plant. The main drawback of this power source is its high initial equipment cost, which runs many times that of conventional power sources.

The money available at a future date has less value at the present and should be discounted by the interest to present worth (PW). P is the notation for the present sum of money, which should be used in such a manner that it produces a future income more than other forms of investment, irrespective of whether it is used for new equipment or the corrosion mitigation process. Gas diromatography, like oth foims of diroma-tography is a method of separating mixtiu-es of substances of analytical interest either from each other or from an extraction residue. The equipment may be simple or complex, but the principle is a simple one and is analogous to other forms of dvomatography. 

Sanitation practices help to suppress some pests by removing sources of food and shelter. Other forms of sanitation which help prevent pest spread include using pest-free seeds or using decontaminating equipment or methods on plants, livestock, and other possible carriers before allowing them to enter a pest-free area.
