Air emissions at point of discharge should be monitored continuously for fluorides and particulates and aimually for ammonia and nitrogen oxides. These various problems may arise under several different circumstances. For example, difficulties may result from consistently poor operational control of the boiler plant or from enforced operating conditions that fall outside generally accepted procedures. Alternatively, problems may stem from malfunctioning equipment, from equipment design flaws, from inadequate water treatment programs, or even as a result of poor interpretation of monitored results and bad water treatment advice. 

To put these data in perspective, it is important to point out that they merely imply an exhaustive biodegradation of secondary alkanesulfonates and do not represent monitoring results.

Delineation of these three zones should be based on sampling and monitoring results and on an evaluation of the potential routes and amount of contaminant dispersion in the event of a release. Movement of personnel and equipment among these zones should be minimized and restricted to specific access control points to prevent cross-contamination from contaminated areas to clean areas. The development of all above-mentioned diseases is related to exceeding the air quality standards in many cities of the Asian regions. We should point out that at the scale of the whole Caspian Sea the present monitoring results are limited (Bukharitsin and Luneva, 1994 Kuksa, 1996). There are some data on PFGS and PFGA in fish and water from European countries. However, there is a general lack of occurrence data for most foodstuffs. This evaluation, based on food consumption patterns of the EU countries Italy, The Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK, must be regarded as provisional while waiting for the necessary food monitoring results to be gathered.
