Someone needs to ensure that the new hire is shown the location of the men s or ladies room, the lunchroom, the vending area, the parking area, and other areas of common interest. Emergency procedures and details about how to use the phone and summon emergency responders should also be provided. The new hire should be introduced to co-workers as the tour is taken.
