Management support need

In selecting a suppHer or manufacturer, the maintenance manager must be sure that the suppHer can provide the support needed to operate and maintain the faciUty effectively. The suppHer or manufacturer must be willing and able to service the faciHty in the future, to instmct and oversee installation, and to provide adequate maintenance instmctions and training. Present verbatim comments from recent interviews with research managers on needs for organizational learning about processes and performance, which also reveal some common attitudes toward the use of IT support and simulation tools. 

Based on 1995 estimates, the cost for the removal of a hot spot with dimensions 40 ft by 60 ft by 10 ft deep with the grouting extending 10 ft beyond the hot spot was estimated at 3,295 million.
