Logical processing

This logical process ensures that all appropriate technologies are identified and evaluated on an equal basis. 

Expression (a) does not yet conserve atoms. We must find numerical coefficients to place before each formula so that there are the same number of atoms of each element on the left side of the equation as there are on the right. The process of finding these coefficients is called balancing the equation. For simple reactions, it is an easy and logical process. 

Going along with these spatial scales, we can define temporal scales as well. Micrometeoro-logic processes tend to be important for times less than an hour, mesoscale processes, up to about a day, and synoptic scale, a few days or more.

The last tvo approaches represent promising beginnings for new methods to characterize stationary phase selectivity. The methods are evolutionary and not fully developed at present. There has been a steady development of neuronal analogs over the past 50 years. An important early model was proposed in 1943 by McCulloch and Pitts [23].
