The program is now activated. To assign a value to one of the function keys, simply type fa =(BASIC command), where x is a number from one to eight and any legal BASIC statement follows the equal sign. Press RETURN and the computer should respond with OK. If you get a SYNTAX ERROR, check the logic of the BASIC line. For example, fl = LIST defines the fl key as LIST. Any time you press fl, LIST is printed on the screen. Of course, LIST won t be activated until you press RETURN. To activate the command without having to press RETURN, add a left arrow (the key directly above CONTROL) so that the syntax looks like fl=LIST<-. [Pg.248]

Line 1 indicates that the definition of Kg, depends on the following four modeling objects (Kaj-operator), reaction-centers) (see line 3) with each element of the list defined as an instance of the basic modeling element, atom. [Pg.44]

Acetophenone is on the HON and HON Section F list (defined in Table 13.16) as a hazardous chemical. Thus, legally we must monitor and minimize emissions from vents, storage vessels, and transfer racks, and discharges to wastewater, and minimize leaks from rotating shafts, sampling, and... [Pg.1316]

The summary of the invention section, which is next, should set out the exact nature, operation, and purpose of the invention by describing it in one or more clear, concise sentences or paragraphs. " A detailed description of the invention will likely follow. There s some variation in which of these two will show the Markush describing compounds of the invention and the laundry list defining substituents thereof, but one or the other will always have this important information. In composition of matter patents, the summary may also describe the use of such compounds in pharmaceutical compositions and the use of such compositions to treat one or more diseases. [Pg.127]

CERCLA Hazardous Substance a substance on the list defined in section 101(14) of CERCLA. [Pg.150]

Before we can define the mission for any particular test or inspection system we must be able to specify customer needs. While a detailed framework for designing inspection systems is given in Section 7, we must consider now how to define such needs. One way is to apply a failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to the product and design a test and evaluation system to cover each of the potential failure modes. But this technique does not make the customer an explicit part of the design process, whereas we have seen earlier (Section 1) that direct customer input is increasingly needed in more customized products. A preferable technique is to begin with customer function and quality requirements as the basis for a list of product attributes that form the basis of test and inspection. In attributes inspection (Section 2.1), this list is often a defect list or fault list defining the discrete defects that the inspection system must ensure the customer never experiences. [Pg.1893]

Again, consider statements grouped as bulleted lists with each list defined by a heading. [Pg.14]

The filter (name) is used to refer to a given filter within the reaction block of other requirements, e.g., as shown in Figure 5. The (identifier list) defines how many previous values shall be stored for the filter, the current identifier refers to the current value received by the filter, tolerance defines how many times the filter is allowed to be consecutively triggered before the reaction block is executed and the value expression defines how the masked value is computed by the filter. The reaction block of the filter has the same syntax and semantics as described previously. [Pg.284]

Sanity check the potentially safety critical human error candidate lists (defined in 5 and 7 above) in a workshop with mine staff, including management, supervisors and workmen familiar with the system/process under study - reject/revise any where misunderstandings may have arisen during the initial data collection. [Pg.107]

This chapter defines the neutral file semantics by defining the effect of each statement on the file in terms of the changes which will result in the post-processor data structure. This technique is borrowed from the GKS standard. The post-processor data structure consists of a number of state lists defined more precisely in 9. State lists on page 181. [Pg.173]

The code list defining the path decribes the sequence of environment blocs which the robot must cross to go from a source point to goal point. We may reduce all blocs to a point which is constitued of the center of the recoverments of twocodes. Two case occurs ... [Pg.537]
