The number of injectors required may be estimated in a similar manner, but it is unlikely that the exploration and appraisal activities will have included injectivity tests, of say water injection into the water column of the reservoir. The past introduction of TP materials into the area of printed circuit substrates has led to a broader type of application for the circuits. Intramuscularly administered products typically form a depot in the muscle mass from which the drug is slowly absorbed. The peak drug concentration is usually seen within 1-2 hours. Polycarbonate can be readily injection molded. Polycarbonates typically require only a short injection molding cycle time, because the polymer flows into the mold easily and solidifies rapidly. We injection mold polycarbonate to produce a wide variety of commercial goods, including compact disks, jewel cases, aircraft windows, kitchen utensils, and clear refrigerators drawers. Polycarbonates are also found in a wide range of disposable medical devices, such as the flow locks on intravenous tubes and the hard, disposable components of dialysis machines. Myelin components exhibit great heterogeneity of metabolic turnover. One of the novel characteristics of myelin demonstrated in early biochemical studies was that its overall rate of metabolic turnover is substantially slower than that of other neural membranes [1]. A standard type of experiment was to evaluate lipid or protein turnover by injecting rat brains with a radioactive metabolic precursor and then follow loss of radioactivity from individual components as a function of time. Structural lipid components of myelin, notably cholesterol, cerebro-side and sulfatide, as well as proteins of compact myelin, are relatively stable, with half-lives of the order of many months. One complication in interpreting these studies is that the metabolic turnover of individual myelin components is multiphasic - consisting of an initial rapid loss of radioactivity followed by a much longer slower loss. [Pg.69]
