Figure 17c shows the section of Figure 17b that covers most Cg and Cig packings, with Zorbax Rx Cg, 24, Zorbax SB Cg, 29 and pBondapak Cjg, 30, in the upper left-hand corner. Figure 13d is a further expansion with Luna Phenylhexyl, 66, Supelcosil EC DB Cjg, 68 and Aqua Cjg, 69, in the upper left-hand corner, Hypersil Hypurity Elite, 63, on the left, and Shodex ODPerfect, 113, on the lower right. [Pg.116]

On the other hand, if we are working on a separation that is nearly complete, bnt reqnires a bit of fine-tnning that cannot be accomplished with mobile phase manipnlations, we wonld select a packing that is somewhat dissimilar bnt not too different. For example, if onr primary separation was done on a Pnrospher RP18e colnmn, 111, we conld select a Hypersil Hypurity Elite, 63, a Polaris Cjg-A, 65 or a SymmetryShield RPjg column, 70, as alternatives. These alternatives wonld change the selectivity of the separation somewhat, but not too drastically. [Pg.117]

Pearce and Lushnikova [78] used semipreparative HPLC method for the isolation of the three omeprazole metabolites produced by the fungi. Incubation of Cunninghamella elegans ATCC 9245 and omeprazole allowed putative fungal metabolite to be isolated in sufficient quantities for structural elucidation. The metabolites structures were identified by a combination of LC/MS and NMR spectrometric experiments. These isolates are used as reference standards in the confirmatory analysis of mammalian metabolites of omeprazole. In the LC/MS and LC/MS/MS analysis, components were separated by reversed-phase HPLC on a Hypersyl HyPurity (15 cm x 4.6 mm, 5 /im) column. The mobile phase consisted... [Pg.220]

The traditional Hypersil unbonded silica at pH 7.8 gave baseline separation within 14 minutes of the basic analyte mixture (Fig. 3.2). The poorer chromatographic performance of the procainamide analyte was attributed to its suspected metal chelating properties. The purer HyPURITY unbonded silica gave broader peak shapes with reduced analysis times than the traditional acidic silica, but complete separation of the analytes was not observed. The separation of the bases on Hypersil BDS was observed... [Pg.104]

Bases Metal ion-free, modem stationary phases suitable for separating bases these include Symmetry, Kromasil, Inertsil, Nucleosil AB, Purospher, Zorbax SB, SymmetryShield, HyPurity Elite, Prodigy, XTerra, Bonus (think of Cg tool). First choice acidic pH (e.g. pH 2.5-3.5) with acetonitrile if retention too little, move to pH 7.5 with methanol as the organic modifier. You may also add triethylamine or octyl-amine (ca. 50-500 ppm) or for strong bases add an ion pair reagent (PIC B), e.g. 50-100 mM octasulfonic acid. [Pg.120]
