The data presented for Croatia were obtained before the Serbian aggression on its territory. The areas contaminated by the damaged installations or stocks of chemicals may in future reflect higha contamination of food. This aspect should be taken into consideration in future studies. Some food monitoring measurements are in progress already.

In the future, it is expected to be possible to make more routine use of additional wave types, specifically shear or S waves (polarised to horizontal and vertical components) which have a transverse mode of propagation, and are sensitive to a different set of rock properties than P waves. The potential then exists for increasing the number of independent attributes measured in reflection surveys and increasing the resolution of the subsurface image.

Quantitative risk analysis is a forecast concerning the degree of belief associated with the occurrence of future events. However, because the potential consequences of such events may be so great, the possibility that the events could occur at all gives rise to concern. When a QRA generates results that reflect a very small likelihood of an event and confirm the suspicion that the event could have a severe impact, these questions inevitably arise What does it all mean What should I do about it ...

T ood packaging reflects the needs of human societies and their technical capacities to provide for these needs. The kinds and amounts of food supply, the methods of food preservation, and the availability of packaging materials determine the packaging systems in any culture—be it prehistoric, present, or future.
