This section describes the Excei tempiates available from the book website. All templates have been tested on Excel 2013 and 2010. All should work on Excel 2007 as well. For the few that require special formulae, a separate Excel 2007 version has been included. [Pg.376]

The following are some useful remainders when using the templates  [Pg.376]

Adding new rows new rows should be entered inside the thick-bordered area. This will automatically update aU formulae to include the new row. This can be accomplished by right-clicking on the appropriate row name and selecting Insert. A row wiU be inserted above the selected row. See Fig. 8.16 for an example. [Pg.376]

Formulae most formulae can be dragged down or across to fill the new data. It is suggested that you drag from the first row (or column) down to the last to make sure that everything is properly aligned. [Pg.376]

The Aspen Properties implementation of the NRLT-SAC method is available as a template. aprbkp file to license holders of Aspen Properties or Aspen Plus release 12.1 or above, by contacting Aspen s support centre or regional sales offices. We have developed a new process to improve the efficiency of sample reanalysis. This process includes four steps data review, replating, reanalysis, and data alignment. We have also generated an Excel template, a Gilson s Unipoint protocol, and an in-house visual basic program to automate the process. [Pg.10]

A Gilson liquid handler was programmed with the Unipoint software to dilute and reformat failed samples. A volume of 120 pi of solvent (methanol unless specified otherwise) was added to each failed vial. The solution was taken up and released by the sampling needle three times to ensure efficient mixing. A fraction of the liquid was then transferred to the target plate. The fraction volume was determined on the Excel template by the dilution factor, for example 40 pi for 2 1 dilution. Solvent was allowed to evaporate at ambient temperature from the new plate, and 200 pi of solvent was then added to each well in the plate. The new plate, reformatted and compressed, was analyzed with the MUX-LCT system using the sample fist from the template. Using this new format, the 24 samples in the example above (Fig. 6) were reanalyzed in three runs (13.5 min) instead of 24 runs (108 min).
