2D WIN-NMR offers two additional options allowing you to shift or wrap a 2D spectrum. For further information use the Help tool. 

These options boxes are similar to or are the same as those used with manual processing. You are free to set up a library containing a variety of job files designed to perform specific processing tasks e.g. H, C, NOE etc. 

When automatically processing a series of data files in the same way, the corresponding processing parameters are manually adjusted for one data file representative for the whole series. 

For processing a series of data files, e.g. NOE or T, data files, in an unattended way, the same pre-defined or user defined job files may used. To select the data files to be processed a special Automatic Serial Processing dialog must be opened with the Serial Processing command located in the File pull-down menu (Fig. 5.33).

The Scania plant at Falun in Sweden manufaetures bus and truck steering knuckles. These are safety-critical components that are specified as having to be crack-free. For this reason, every component is now inspected using an automatic process that ensures the appropiate inspection is consistently canied out to the required standards of quality. Fully automatic processing was introduced in 1972 with the SX-70 camera, which ejected each integral picture unit automatically, passing it between motorized processing rollers and out of the camera immediately after exposure (12,13). Kodak instant cameras, introduced in 1976 and now discontinued, included both motorized and hand-cranked models. Fuji instant cameras for integral films are motorized. 

The Semi-Automatic processes include processes such as cold pressing, hot pressing, compression moulding of SMC and DMC, resin injection. 

The Automatic processes are those such as pultrusion, filament winding, centrifugal casting and injection moulding.

Notice that by the inclusion of Tg, the mean is much more strongly influenced than the median. The value of such comparisons lies in the automatic processing of large numbers of small data sets, in order to pick out the suspicious ones for manual inspection. (See also the next Section.)... 

The unusual feature of the programs is the automatic processing based on sample class. The operator provides the relevant parameters to the system of programs using the program SETUP, which contains several fill-in-the-form screens. These parameters Include the "class" of the specimen and the required automatic processing, as described below, and other pertinent information such as Mark-Houwink parameters, vial number, injection number, and documentation of the experimental conditions under which the chromatogram is to be measured. 

The type and extent of automatic processing to be carried out immediately after a chromatogram has been measured is controlled by a "processing" variable selected from a table displayed by the SETUP program. In our implementation, the choices are...

To be able to use MS/MS spectra library searching for general unknown screening, it is necessary to use an automatic process, called data dependent acquisition or information-dependent acquisition, to select the parent ions of interest, totally unexpected by definition, and to dissociate them and monitor their fragments. 

Automatization of all stages of the analytical process is a trend that can be discerned in the development of modern analytical methods for chemical manufacture, to various extents depending on reliability and cost-benefit considerations. Among the elements of reliability one counts conformity of the accuracy and precision of the method to the specifications of the manufacturing process, stability of the analytical system and closeness to real-time analysis. The latter is a requirement for feedback into automatic process-control systems. Since the investment in equipment for automatic online analysis may be high, this is frequently replaced by monitoring a property that is easy and inexpensive to measure and correlating that property with the analyte of interest. Such compromise is usually accompanied by a collection of samples that are sent to the analytical laboratory for determination, possibly at a lower cost.
