The following chemical databases are available for searching in MACCS-II. ChemicalDirectoy Database contains a combined catalogue of 66 commercial suppHers of more than 77,000 organic chemicals. AL4.CCS-II Drug Data eport based on the Prous Dmg Data Report, includes 39,000 compounds with information on therapeutic indication, biological action, phase of development, related patents, and Hterature references. MUSE Database the tutorial database for MACCS-II, contains over 100 compounds. [Pg.130]

The first approach is based on the boiling point under reduced pressure data, which can easily be found in the technical literatureTS. The manufacturers catalogues for substances also give these values. The tables that appear in Part Three systematically mention this data whenever available. They do not appear in any of the safety databases in the safety shee produced by the chemical industry for users. [Pg.41]

Bretherick s Reactive Chemical Hazards, database version 1, 4th edition CD-ROM, Buttenworth-Heinemann, 1994 Catalogue de Produits Chimiques, Fuka 1995-1996 CCPs Guideline Series... [Pg.493]

This table shows the comparative strengths of some of the major collections of alchemical books. This data has been extracted from my database which is essentially a union catalogue of the Ferguson, Young, Duveen, Wolfenbuttel and British Library collections, which lists at present 4678 books with 2810 unique works"... [Pg.408]

A lot of information abont certified reference material can be obtained from the COMAR database, bnt there is also a large amonnt of information in detailed catalogues of available products on the web-pages of individnal certified reference material prodncers, which are nsnally large scientific establishments. [Pg.300]

Remote login is the ability of a computer user in one location to establish an on-line connection with another computer elsewhere. Once the connection is established, the remote computer is used as if it were a hard-wired terminal of that system. Within the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) suite, this facility is called Telnet. Using Telnet, an Internet user can establish connections with a multitude of library catalogues, other bibliographic databases, university information systems, full text databases, data files (eg, statistics, oceanographic data, meteorological data, and geographic data), and other on-line services. Many of these connections are available to any Internet user and can be accessed without an account. [Pg.112]

All major chemical companies, and most teaching establishments, now have a computerised stock-control system which enables information about on-site availability and cost of chemicals to be rapidly obtained. Many companies are now linked to a central database (e.g. Chemquest , Pergabase Inc.), which provides information (via text or graphics) on the world-wide commercial availability (from over fifty chemical catalogues) and on relative costs, etc., of fine chemicals. The hazards in use and disposal of all chemicals (see Section 2.3) may be readily checked from the catalogues of major chemical suppliers and other important sources. [Pg.32]

The CAP (Chemicals Available for Purchase) database is a compilation of commercially available compounds from all major vendors. This electronic catalogue is maintained by Accelrys Inc. in several formats [94] and contains more than 1.6 million unique entries. [Pg.360]

Systems of classification very often follow the application fields, e.g. the catalogues of the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM), the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), Laboratory of the Government Chemist (LGC), etc. or the database for certified reference materials COMAR. In all application fields like food and agriculture, environment, health and safety, industry and services, etc., reference materials are used for ... [Pg.99]
